SHINee Obsession
Hey, I'm pretty excited. I have friends on here now. I'm also following quite a few communities, but I don't know if I can join them or not. I think I'll try joining after I've written something that can go in them. Like the Onew/Key story I'm working on right now. It's been about a week and a half and I have quite a bit done which is very unusual for me. I think I've had it read and beta'd at least five or six times now. I write another 400 words and I'm like, "READ THIS NOW!"
I've also been looking up codes and ways to make my LJ more fancy and my entries more condensed. So, I'm actually going to try and talk a lot about myself in this entry, so I'll put it in easy, subdivided sections for your (my readers') convenience (so you don't have to read about stuff you don't care about).
SHINee
Alright, I guess it's only right that I talk about these guys first. After all, SHINee is really the main reason I revived my old LJ account. I was first introduced to SHINee through one of their more recent hits, Lucifer. The song was used in an AMV (Anime Music Video) that two of my friends made. At first I was pretty skeptical and I didn't like the song very much. I have always liked Japanese music and never listened to Korean music before. But then I saw the music video for it and it was basically love at first sight. However sexy everyone says Taemin and Key are in that video, I basically ignored them in favour of Onew. I think it was also his voice that caught my attention. Yes, it's Jonghyun that has the pipes of the group, but I love the timbre of Onew's voice.
It may seem strange, but to me Onew seemed to be the sexiest of the group. Jonghyun had the manly hotness, Taemin was boyishly cute, Key had sexy eyeliner but his hair bugged me, and I didn't really pay attention to Minho (again, this is all from watching Lucifer; my opinions now are completely different). I like guys that wear eyeliner and look girly (I'm not even gonna say what that indicates) and Onew seemed pretty girly to me.
At this point, I liked the song but didn't really pay attention to the actual band. It wasn't until the Hello music video came out (and after quite a bit of appreciated pestering by Rannomnom) that I really began paying attention to them. They were all so adorable that I kept looking for little videos of them all over YouTube (where I found out about the Onew Condition and fell in love all over again). And thus, the beginning of my SHINee obsession.
I was introduced to SHINee pairings and fanfiction through Rannomnom's first fic and also this post. That was only a few weeks ago, hence the lack of any of my own contributions to the fandom.
Initially, Jonghyun/Onew was my favourite pairing (even though my first fic is Onew/Key) but I can't really say I have a preference anymore. There is amazing fanfiction out there for every pairing and the boys are all so close it's easy to imagine.
I was going to write more about my own writing and where I get my inspiration, but for right now I think I'm all written-out. I'm almost done with the OnKey fic and I have ideas for some more small SHINee fics and Kuroshitsuji as well, so keep looking for those updates :3
