A/N: This was inspired by a dream I had the night before my first day of school (which made me want to kick my muse because I was writing this story in the margins of each class syllabus and not paying attention during the first two or three days of class). Also inspired by
addicterated's gorgeous and refreshing way of writing romantic smut. I wanted to attempt to explore feelings a little deeper, so hopefully I managed to capture that :3
A/N pt.2: Thanks to my dearest
rannomnom for letting me badger her into reading this at least five different times and giving me helpful tips. Also, thanks to my lovely Andrea :: waves at you reading this silently like a stalker :P :: for answering completely random questions about various things and laughing over flowers and gay boys with me 8)
Being the new kid in school was always a difficult thing to deal with, especially when it was a middle of the semester transfer. Even if kids got moved around a lot by working parents, it was hard to get used to being thrust into the almost cruel caste system that dominated most schools.
Sungmin was one of those kids that moved almost once a year, sometimes even twice in one semester. His father was a prominent contractor that always got sent to work on new projects in different locations, the corporate world giving no thought to what it did to his wife and child. His mother didn’t have the luxury of a movable job so she created a career for herself. In each new city they moved to, she set up a class at some local spot to teach others arts and crafts. She had fun doing it, but Sungmin knew their relatives were sick of getting scarves, key chains, beaded necklaces or wine charms for birthdays and Christmas.
Luckily, the moves didn’t affect Sungmin as badly as his parents initially feared they would. It was hard when he was still little and didn’t understand why he couldn’t visit his friends anymore, but as he grew older he got used to it and matured enough to look after himself. It still upset his parents that he didn’t make many friends at school because he knew he’d have to leave them sooner or later, but Sungmin put on a brave face for them and even thought he was surviving fine without influential friends around to distract him from his studies.
That was why Sungmin appeared almost aloof when he walked through the crowded cafeteria of his newest school, ignoring the pointed stares and whispers. People weren’t discreet at all and he almost wanted to laugh when he could hear a few comments about his looks and attitude from a group of girls in line behind him. It was the middle of February, so the students had already been in their classes for about a month and they had already gotten the chance to form little groups and get on the good (or bad) side of their teachers. Automatically, Sungmin was at a disadvantage but he didn’t mind the challenge so much. Besides, his father’s current project was a shorter one so Sungmin wasn’t even sure he’d last the entire semester here.
Collecting his food, Sungmin wasn’t even fazed when he turned to the crowded cafeteria and noticed quite a few eyes observing him-some gazes were even challenging, as if daring him to sit at their table. Again, he had to swallow his laughter with a roll of his eyes as he dropped his bags next to an empty table in a relatively quiet corner. He’d just gotten settled with a book in one hand and an apple in the other when a body plopped unceremoniously down in the seat next to him.
“Hey, newbie,” a bothersome voice spoke at him and Sungmin put down his book slowly making a show of taking his time to acknowledge the stranger. An eyebrow raised in a silent question, an indication of Sungmin’s annoyance.
The newcomer just grinned at him, unabashed, his lips pulling back so far Sungmin could see all of his gums. He had hair dyed crimson, cut short, and wide eyes with a fold of skin under each that crinkled with his smile.
A pale hand swatted the redhead and Sungmin looked across the table where another boy stood, his face disapproving as he glared at his friend. Auburn streaked straggles of dark hair pulled back in a stylishly messy ponytail framed a strong-jawed face as the other directed a sheepish smile at Sungmin.
“Um, sorry, may we sit?” He bit his lip awkwardly, realizing the question was almost redundant at this point. Sungmin just rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, whatever.”
“I’ll get straight to the point, new kid,” the rude one obviously didn’t know how normal introductions worked as he asked straight out, “do you know who I am?”
Sungmin bit his lip, debating whether or not to tell the truth. Yeah, he knew them both. He tried to do a little bit of investigating every time he moved schools and these two were infamous. You know, the troublemakers that the nice counselor told you to avoid when she explained as much as she could of the school’s social hierarchy (not that teachers ever truly understood it, but she was pretty sharp and knew her gossip). Sungmin figured telling the truth might get rid of them faster.
“You’re Hyukjae,” he stated unimpressed, letting the name hang on the air between the three of them. The reaction to it was not what he was expecting. The ponytail-adorned boy winced a little as the redhead’s expression quickly morphed from one of surprise into anger that Sungmin swore he could feel crackling between their locked gazes.
“Where did you hear that?” the other’s voice almost trembled and he leaned uncomfortably close into Sungmin’s personal space. “I go by Eunhyuk. You have to earn the right to call me by that name.”
Usually, Sungmin wasn’t one to be intimidated by ill-mannered strangers he’d just met, but he found himself nodding immediately.
“Hyukkie, leave off. You’ll scare him,” the other boy chided gently and held out a hand to Sungmin. “I’m Donghae and that’s my short-tempered friend Eunhyuk. Really, don’t mind him, he doesn’t bite.”
“Only if you want it,” Eunhyuk muttered, his eyes going a different kind of dark as he looked at Donghae. Another glare was the only response he got.
Belatedly, Sungmin realized that Donghae’s hand was still hanging awkwardly between them so he shook it politely and gave his name before returning his eyes to his food, unsure of what to do next. People like Donghae and Eunhyuk never really bothered Sungmin and he wasn’t usually this uncomfortable when meeting new people.
Of course, Eunhyuk had to be the one to break the silence as he stole a piece of chicken straight off of Sungmin’s plate as if they were best buddies and that kind of thing happened every day.
“So what are ya readin’?”
Donghae let out an exasperated sigh and opened his mouth, probably to apologize yet again but Sungmin just giggled a little-surprising all of them-and held out the book. Eunhyuk took it and studied it for a moment before shrugging.
“Outbound Flight, huh? Didn’t you read something like that, Hae?”
Brown eyes widened comically as Donghae grabbed the book out of Eunhyuk’s hands.
“You read this series?”
Sungmin smiled at his enthusiasm. “Timothy Zahn is my favorite author and those are my favorite movies.”
The two of them spent the next ten minutes fanboying over Zahn, all the other similar books they read and why the original series was better than the prequels.
“No, really. The prequels should be banned. Burned or something,” Sungmin waved his hands around emphatically, happy to have found someone who enjoyed the story more than the special effects.
“Ah, not necessarily. I really loved the music and some of the choreographed fights were really awesome.”
“Donghae loves music and dance,” Eunhyuk butted in, a frown on his face, obviously peeved at being completely out of the loop.
An indulgent smile from Donghae reminded Sungmin that these two clearly had something going between them and he was sure he didn’t want to interfere with that. Then again, they had approached him so he couldn’t be to blame for at least befriending them.
The rapidly dwindling crowd in the cafeteria broke the three boys from their revelry. Sungmin pulled out his schedule to check where his next class was but it was snatched out of his hands before he could look.
“Celtic Lit? Why are you taking that?” Eunhyuk asked as he finished off Sungmin’s chocolate chip cookie.
“Because it sounds interesting,” Sungmin huffed, refusing to be embarrassed and admit that the redhead was getting under his skin.
Donghae peered over his friend’s shoulder and his eyes lit up. “Oh, we have Paleontology together! Professor Hand is a great teacher, you’ll love her. And I can help you get caught up. And… Ooo you have The Novel with Hyukkie.”
“I only took it ‘cause there’s only one paper,” the boy in question scoffed. “You might need to help me catch up,” he added with a laugh as they walked out of the cafeteria.
“Don’t lie,” Donghae interrupted with a mischievous smile. “You saw the booklist and immediately wanted to take it. You’re such a closet Wuthering Heights fan.”
“Ew, God no. I can’t stand any of those characters. Tragic love story, my ass. It wasn’t about love, it was all about power and revenge.”
“Well you obviously have some strong feelings towards it,” Donghae pat his friend’s back consolingly when he sulked. Sungmin just listened to their bickering with a smile on his face remembering how he and Kyuhyun used to be the same way. But that was several cities, a few towns and too many houses ago and now was as close as Sungmin had ever come to thinking bitterly about his situation.
“Hey, we’re here Mr. Dreamland,” a poke in his side and Sungmin concealed the unpleasant emotion before returning Donghae’s ever-present smile. They both waved at Eunhyuk as he walked off and entered the classroom together, Sungmin feeling happier about the new school already.

Days turned into weeks and classes began to blur together, but Sungmin held in his memory each and every interaction with the interesting duo which was quickly and noticeably morphing into a trio. They spent every free hour at school together and Sungmin was getting into trouble for talking in class for the first time since elementary school.
His parents were ecstatic when he asked if his friends could come over for dinner and Sungmin knew it was because they hadn’t entertained a friend of his since Kyuhyun and that seemed like lifetimes ago to all of them.
Both were surprisingly well-behaved throughout and his parents approved of them immediately. His mother even began taking the three of them to school each morning, since Donghae and Eunhyuk used to walk.
They took Sungmin all around the city and he found himself falling in love with all the little things that he never bothered to notice in cities before. They showed him hidden parks, pretty gardens, hiking paths that led to breathtaking views, the best local places to eat and so much more.
Sungmin knew it was dangerous, but he found his heart opening up to the two of them and the city in which they lived. As a self-imposed rule, Sungmin never let himself get attached to any one place or person, but he couldn’t help it this time.

The first time Sungmin stayed the night at Eunhyuk and Donghae’s apartment, the two used it as an excuse to celebrate and get him drunk. Eunhyuk teased him quite often that he was too uptight and into school but Sungmin could easily laugh the younger off now and even retaliate by pointing out his fervor in their shared Lit class. Donghae wasn’t the type to pressure him, but even he sided with Eunhyuk in this and thought it would be fun for them all to loosen up and learn a little bit more about each other.
An uncountable amount of drinks later saw the three of them a giggling mess in the bedroom (Sungmin hadn’t failed to notice there was only one used bedroom with one large bed in it, but he had already realized a while ago that the two were together). Sungmin didn’t even remember what they were laughing about, but he was clutching his sides and Donghae had his head on his shoulder breath tickling Sungmin’s neck as they sat on the edge of the bed. Eunhyuk was rolling around on the floor, heedless of what he was bumping into and almost spilled their drinks everywhere when he rolled right into the dresser.
“Oops,” Eunhyuk gasped out, all of their chests heaving from the force of their amusement.
“Aish, watch out, clumsy,” Donghae giggled when the other glared at him and stood up.
“Gotta pee,” the redhead mumbled and leaned forward to plant a soft kiss on Donghae’s forehead, which the brunette received with a tender smile. Sungmin just sat and watched the exchange, wondering why his chest felt so tight all of a sudden and the gasps in his breathing weren’t just from laughter anymore. Again, it wasn’t like he was completely oblivious to their relationship-they kept it hidden well from the rest of the school, but Sungmin was a lot closer to them than anyone else. Maybe it was the alcohol that was bringing on this… envy? Jealousy?
Sungmin liked both of them now, despite the rather unconventional start of his and Eunhyuk’s friendship and he couldn’t see one without the other. So, jealousy couldn’t be the reason. Right?
“Hey, you’re doing it again,” Donghae’s quiet voice right next to his ear nearly caused Sungmin to fall off the bed in surprise. Apparently he’d been lost in his own mind again and Donghae had noticed.
“Doing what?” Sungmin asked, hoping that just maybe the other boy had some hidden insight into this puzzle.
“You get this far away, reminiscent, almost sad look in your eyes when you watch me and Hyukjae sometimes.” Donghae didn’t look angry, just concerned and his hand came up to comb through Sungmin’s hair soothingly.
“I-I… do?” Sungmin was stuttering and tears gathered in his eyes while a lump lodged itself in his throat. Frustration and anger boiled to the surface because he just couldn’t pinpoint the origin of those emotions and maybe it was the alcohol clouding his memory but he felt like he’d forgotten something important, something he never should have forgotten.
Donghae’s worried face was suddenly a lot closer and Sungmin closed his eyes as the room spun around them, feeling a trickle of moisture on his cheek. The hand still in Sungmin’s hair put a little guiding pressure until he felt his nose bump Donghae’s cheek and he was pretty sure he knew what the other was about to do, so he didn’t pull away when their lips met tentatively. Small tremors raced through him when Donghae tugged on his hair just enough to slip his tongue into Sungmin’s waiting mouth.
Sungmin didn’t know how long they sat there, Donghae comforting him with gentle kisses and soothing licks. His tears had long since stopped and he’d pushed aside the feelings of loss and emptiness, instead focusing on the feeling of Donghae’s hands caressing him softly and the slow slide of his tongue along skin where he lapped up Sungmin’s tears.
A cough sounded from the doorway and this time Sungmin really did fall off the bed, curling into a ball on the floor and hoping Eunhyuk wouldn’t kill him.
“Tch. Donghae, you slut. I told you I wanted to kiss him first.” Eunhyuk’s voice sounded disapproving, but without a trace of anger. Still, Sungmin remained in his position to be safe.
“And I’m glad you didn’t. You would have molested his face,” Donghae answered, sounding completely unapologetic and Sungmin was starting to make sense of their words but then got lost again when he realized what they meant.
“Eh, he would have enjoyed it.”
Whatever Donghae’s reply may have been was cut off with a muffled nmff and Sungmin didn’t know what had happened until he heard the unmistakable sounds of heavy breathing and lips and tongues meeting. Sungmin tried to will himself to pass out, because the other two had clearly already forgotten his presence. There was a moan from one of them (Sungmin tried not to think about who it came from) and a sudden hiss.
“Stop it, Hyukjae. He’s right there.”
“He’s already passed out, hasn’t he?”
There was a short pause before, “owww!” Eunhyuk whined as Sungmin heard a thump. “Fine.”
A blanket was draped over him and Sungmin hadn’t realized how tired he actually was until he let the tension flow out of limbs and fell asleep almost immediately.

If Sungmin had been hoping the other two would have forgotten about the strange “kissing incident” (as he dubbed it) the next morning, he really should have known better.
Donghae made breakfast for them while Eunhyuk sat across the table, occasionally winking and teasing Sungmin for the splitting headache he was nursing. Aside from the few sly remarks from Eunhyuk and constant reassuring smile from Donghae, they never mentioned last night outright.
Sungmin thought he’d managed to get away safe when he made it to the front door, the other two trailing along behind him. He reached for the door handle but never got it open as Eunhyuk pushed him up against it, kissing him senseless in a matter of seconds. The redhead pulled away after a moment with a satisfied smirk while Sungmin tried to recall how to breathe and prayed his shaking legs wouldn’t give out. In opposition, Donghae pressed a simple, chaste kiss to his lips and opened the door, grinning widely when Sungmin stumbled out, still dazed.
The next few weeks brought about a similar routine. The two of them snuck kisses from Sungmin whenever the urge struck them (which Sungmin found was much more often than he thought necessary-though he would never admit to enjoying it as much as he did). There was a lot of being shoved into dark corners involved and even some groping (the first time Eunhyuk’s hand had strayed, Sungmin had been caught unprepared and the redhead continually poked fun at him for the high-pitched yelp he’d let out-that is until Sungmin got revenge another time by rubbing his hand along Eunhyuk’s crotch at which the younger boy actually squeaked).
However, aside from the occasional wandering hand and few hickeys, their make-out sessions stayed at simply kissing. Sungmin was apprehensive about going any farther and even though both boys didn’t seem to have a problem with just adding another person to their relationship, Sungmin wasn’t really sure how to commit to a threesome. So instead, he chose to put aside the confusing and conflicting feelings and focus on enjoying being with them for now.

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. His parents tried their best to break the news to him kindly but nothing changed the facts.
They were moving, leaving, again.
Sungmin thought he was prepared for it. He knew it was coming, his parents knew he knew it was coming. Why were they trying to be so soft this time? Nothing was different.
But where Sungmin would just smile, nod and brush it off before, now his free-flowing tears and choked back sobs told a different story. His chest tightened, breath coming out in short, sporadic gasps as the shattered, buried memories came rushing back.
It had been the same day Sungmin finally confessed his love to Kyuhyun. The same day they’d shared their first kiss and made love in Kyuhyun’s tangled sheets. They’d walked into Sungmin’s house hand in hand, sharing secret smiles and forgetting all about Sungmin’s situation. Until his parents had smashed their dreams to pieces with the same news they were giving him now.
They’d promised to never stop talking and that they would find each other and be together eventually. But that was years ago and Sungmin hadn’t spoken to Kyuhyun in nearly a year. Still, even as Sungmin turned away from his parents, grabbed his coat and practically ran out the front door, his mind was fighting against his emotions. This was a separate situation. He and Kyuhyun had been in love and while Eunhyuk and Donghae meant a lot to him, Sungmin refused to admit-refused to open his heart-to being in love again.
But it was apparent that his heart had control over his limbs when Sungmin found himself standing outside the apartment with no memory of walking there. The door opened suddenly, revealing Eunhyuk looking as surprised as Sungmin felt.
“Sungmin? Uh, did Donghae invite you to dinner or something?”
Sungmin opened his mouth, found speech eluding him and settled for shaking his head. Eunhyuk gave him a quizzical look before his eyes widened, taking in the other’s disheveled, tear-streaked appearance.
“Come in, come in,” he stood back from the door and ran a comforting hand down Sungmin’s back. “Donghae’s in the shower right now and I have to run out to pick up some groceries-obviously more than I realized. Make yourself comfortable. And don’t argue with me, you’re staying for dinner.”
Before Sungmin could even form words to protest, Eunhyuk pushed him inside and shut the front door. He stood in the doorway for a minute trying to calm his emotions and breathe in the apartment’s familiar scent of book pages and the plumerias Donghae loved to put everywhere. Wait. Shit. He knew their smell? Yeah, he was in much deeper than he’d realized.
While his thoughts wandered and he tried not to think too hard about the implications, Donghae walked out of the bathroom, towel slung low on his sharp hips. Sungmin took in his naked torso and wet, tangled hair with a mouth gone suddenly dry. Of course they’d all seen each other topless and Sungmin knew that Donghae and Eunhyuk’s bodies would make anyone (male or female) drool. Thanks to recent self-revelations however, Sungmin found it rather difficult to concentrate on anything other than the way a few stray drops of water trailed down his pectorals and along the contours of his abdomen.
Luckily, Donghae didn’t seem to notice his preoccupation as he smiled genuinely at Sungmin. “When did you get here?”
“Um, I. Not long ago,” Sungmin’s voice came out embarrassingly high and he rubbed his nose with the back of his hand in a nervous gesture. Again, Donghae appeared oblivious.
“Okay. Here, c’mon back. Troy Denning’s next book came out and Hyukkie bought it for me yesterday.”
Sungmin trudged slowly down the hall and Donghae finally perceived his lack of enthusiasm.
“Hey, Minnie are you okay?” Donghae met him halfway, lifting a hand to trace the drying tear tracks. His lips followed the path of his fingers but instead of soothing Sungmin, the older boy felt his emotions boiling to the surface again. Tears that he’d held back for so long overwhelmed him and overflowed and there was no way Donghae could catch them all. The brunette stepped back, not sure if his presence was making things worse.
“N-no. I can’t d-do it anymore,” Sungmin burst out, anger and tears clouding his voice. And he meant it. Stability was something every person needed and Sungmin had never had it.
“Can’t do what? Is this about… us, the three of us?” Donghae sounded worried and pained and Sungmin immediately shook his head.
“Oh God no. You guys are actually the ones saving me,” Sungmin assured with a blinding smile. He quickly wiped at his eyes with the heel of his palm, feeling embarrassed.
“What do you mean?”
In reply, Sungmin pressed his lips to Donghae’s-initiating a kiss for probably the first time-and brought his hands up to cling desperately to the other’s bare shoulders as if he needed an anchor to ground both of them. The older boy tried to mold his body to Donghae’s in an imitation of his lips. As their bodies aligned, Sungmin trembled when he felt the much needed friction and Donghae growled, responding with vigor. The anchor was removed as Donghae pushed Sungmin’s hands off his shoulders and the older boy paused for a moment, unsure, but Donghae made a noise of protest against his lips and pulled off Sungmin’s jacket, tossing it aside.
Sungmin relinquished control then as Donghae backed him up until he was pressed against the wall. The leftover moisture on Donghae’s body dampened Sungmin’s shirt and it slid between them, hiking up and leaving skin tingling for both of them. Their bodies rolled and strained against each other, the closeness being the only thing keeping Donghae’s towel around his waist. Donghae’s knee slid between his legs and Sungmin rutted against it, the contact sending his head reeling, blood boiling and cock stiffening even further. Hands filled themselves with the firmness of Donghae’s ass at which the brunette broke away from the kiss to groan into Sungmin’s ear, quickly following with a sharp nip and soothing licks that sent delightful shivers down his spine.
Sungmin pulled away slightly to catch his breath and calm his racing pulse, but without the press of their bodies to hold it up the towel dropped to the ground. Eyes lit up and Sungmin couldn’t restrain himself much longer as he grabbed Donghae’s thin wrist and dragged him down the hall to the bedroom (not that Donghae put up any kind of fight). The brunette fell back on the bed, gloriously naked and vulnerable, panting heavily and waiting for whatever Sungmin would do next. Skin flushed prettily as Sungmin stopped to admire the other boy while slipping off his shirt.
A thin sheen of sweat covered Donghae’s torso, rendering the previous shower useless. Dark yet hesitant brown eyes gazed at Sungmin through lowered lids, watching as he watched and looked over the offering before him. For it truly was an offering, Donghae not making a single move to cover himself up or hide. Sungmin didn’t know if he could have the courage to lie naked and completely still while under such close scrutiny. But the trust shining out of Donghae’s eyes was enough to send Sungmin’s heart into irregular palpitations, beating and squeezing in equal measures.
He crawled up the bed slowly busying himself with indulging in various parts of Donghae’s body in order to avoid careful thought. Fingers scraped along the outside of thighs, traced jutting hip bones, tickled up ribs before planting on either side of Donghae’s gorgeously flushed face. Their eyes met for an uninhibited moment before Sungmin dropped his head to lay light kisses and gentle nibbles on Donghae’s jaw and neck, breath uneven, heartbeat erratic.
They both heard the front door shut and Eunhyuk’s voice call out, but Sungmin didn’t divert his attention from Donghae’s throat, even getting slightly bolder.
“Hey guys, I’m home, where are you? Aish, Donghae how many times do I have to tell you to hang up your towel?”
“In haa-here,” Donghae let out on a moan which Sungmin delighted in pulling out of him again by sucking along the juncture of his neck. It was almost laughable at how quickly Eunhyuk made it into the bedroom, not bothering with any finesse as he yanked his shirt off and tossed it aside.
“You two. You always start without me.”
Sungmin looked up at the redhead through his eyelashes while his fingers moved slowly lower, mapping out Donghae’s torso. The brunette practically undulated against Sungmin as he played with the perky bud of a nipple, eyes still on Eunhyuk.
“Why don’t you stop whining and join us then?” Sungmin challenged.
“Mmm, not that I need your permission, but that’s exactly what I plan to do.”
The bed dipped as Eunhyuk settled behind Sungmin, between Donghae’s legs, hands wandering up the inside of the brunette’s thighs teasingly. Eunhyuk’s wet tongue charted every bump and groove along Sungmin’s spine, making sure to swirl around each separate vertebra and Sungmin couldn’t help the way his body wriggled and rocked back and forth, caught between needing more of Eunhyuk’s tongue and wanting the friction created when his still-clothed erection rubbed against Donghae’s exposed one.
The youngest was probably the worst off, writhing below them with Eunhyuk’s fingers circling his entrance and then up to the base of his cock, never quite touching. Taking pity on him, Sungmin sealed his lips around a hard, brown nub while his fingers curled around Donghae’s leaking arousal at which the brunette bucked up immediately. Eunhyuk’s burning chest pressed along Sungmin’s back, fingers wrapping around Sungmin’s and they pumped together enjoying the sight of Donghae’s head tossing from side to side, hair tangling and frizzing from the intense heat their bodies were emanating.
“Let him suck your fingers,” Eunhyuk whispered, his tongue following his words along the shell of Sungmin’s ear. The older boy shivered and complied, pressing the fingers of his free hand against Donghae’s plump lips. They were admitted immediately and Donghae sucked eagerly, swirling his tongue around the digits, eyelids fluttering and sending jolts of pure desire through Sungmin at the thought of that clever tongue exploring other places on his body.
Sungmin felt kisses being planted along his shoulder as Eunhyuk’s fingers worked at the button and fly of his jeans, getting it open with minimal effort. The redhead’s hand slipped inside and Sungmin thrust up into the light grip, craving more. Pulling his fingers out of Donghae’s mouth, Sungmin brought them down to join his other hand on the younger’s cock, running the cool wet digit along the slit and collecting the wetness seeping out. A loud moan and arching of his hips was Donghae’s response and his eyes were pleading as they gazed up at Sungmin.
“Get up for a second,” Eunhyuk followed his request by tugging at the belt loops on Sungmin’s pants and they both got off the bed for a moment. Lips met as they helped each other shimmy out of their jeans and Sungmin could hear Donghae’s whimpers over their labored breathing, waiting for them to join him again.
After completely undressing and exploring each other a little more intimately, they slipped back onto the bed in their same positions. Sungmin started to bring his hand down to Donghae’s ass but Eunhyuk stopped him and spoke up.
“Wait. Before we go any farther-” Sungmin turned and cut him off with a bruising kiss, having had enough of words and talking but Eunhyuk’s resolve was unwavering and aggravating as he pulled away and cupped Sungmin’s face. Donghae sat up as well, quiet and observing through puppy eyes.
“Are you sure this is what you want,” Eunhyuk continued, voice gentle yet firm. “This isn’t just you coming to us to escape whatever it was that made you so upset earlier, yeah?”
Even though he didn’t actually say it, Sungmin knew exactly what Eunhyuk was really asking. Is this just some casual fuck? And just as he knew that, Sungmin also knew the question was almost entirely for Donghae’s benefit. Looking between the two of them, Sungmin took in Donghae’s anxious yet hopeful face and noticed that Eunhyuk’s determination was covering up the barest glimmer of nervousness and vulnerability. Maybe Eunhyuk really was looking out for all of them, including Sungmin. His heart caught in his throat suddenly as he nodded and forced back the well of emotions.
“I do, oh God, I do. I want you both. I need you both so much. So God damn much.” He paused for a moment before plowing on before he lost the courage. “I… My parents told me that we have to move. Again. But. I just. I can’t do it, I won’t do it anymore. I don’t want to leave here, I don’t want to leave either of you, ever.”
He managed to keep the waterworks in check as Donghae practically lunged forward, throwing his arms around Sungmin, burying his face in the older boy’s neck and kissing every inch of skin he could reach. Eunhyuk’s lips collided with Sungmin’s in a desperate, sloppy kiss and the realization that the two of them needed him as much as he needed them finally hit the older boy. It was a staggering-yet at the same time humbling-revelation.
Suddenly their every action and movement seemed just a little more desperate, a little bit needier. Sungmin gently guided Donghae to lie on his back again, his fingers easily finding their way between his legs again. The younger boy stretched his legs out and rolled his hips in invitation when Sungmin’s fingers remained outside his body.
Just as Sungmin pushed his index finger in gently-eliciting a happy little sigh from Donghae-he felt a different wet finger trailing down the crease of his own ass, stopping just before entering. Sungmin bit his lip, tensing automatically and completely forgetting what his fingers were supposed to be doing for the moment.
“Have you ever…?” Eunhyuk’s question trailed off as his finger flicked over the puckered entrance a few times provoking a confused whimper from Sungmin.
“N-never there,” he answered, blushing slightly and remembering Donghae when the younger whined and pushed down on his still finger. Immediately, Sungmin began to move his finger and quickly added a second to distract himself, marveling at the way they were almost effortlessly accepted into Donghae’s body.
Eunhyuk’s finger slipped in slowly, uncomfortable at first but not yet painful and Sungmin let out a long breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. It felt weird at first, but Eunhyuk crooked it expertly and even reached around to grip Sungmin’s cock in a successful effort to distract the older boy. The first bite of pain came when the second finger was added, but Sungmin gritted his teeth and focused on Donghae’s sweet face beneath him as he mimicked the movement of Eunhyuk’s fingers in the brunette’s body.
Sooner than he’d anticipated, a third finger pushed in and this time Sungmin couldn’t help the little pained whimper which quickly turned into a gasp when Eunhyuk’s other fingers played with the head of his cock and pressed against the slit. Donghae took Sungmin’s third finger without complaint but he could see a slightly uncomfortable expression flit across the brunette’s features for a quick moment. Sungmin began moving his fingers around deeper, searching for that spot that would wipe away any and all of Donghae’s pained expressions.
As expected, Eunhyuk managed to find it first, pressing up against the nerves relentlessly causing Sungmin to moan and rock back, impaling himself further on the redhead’s fingers. Almost instantaneously, Sungmin’s fingers pushed deeper and Donghae let out a half sob half wail, ass clenching and throbbing.
Cool liquid dripped onto Sungmin’s cock out of nowhere, breaking him out of his wonder and drawing out a shuddering gasp-and when had Eunhyuk gotten out the lube? Sungmin’s head was too much of a jumbled, horny mess to think properly and a noise of protest left his mouth unbidden when Eunhyuk pulled his fingers out so he could lather his own cock. Quickly following suit, Sungmin removed his hand and scoot forward until he was aligned with Donghae’s quivering hole while the brunette whined and wrapped his legs around Sungmin’s waist.
“Please… Oh God, please,” Donghae’s pleas were doing a serious number on Sungmin’s self-control so he hastily obeyed, pushing the head of his cock past the resisting ring of muscles.
“Unh, he’s just so sexy when he’s begging, isn’t he?” Eunhyuk asked as he gently pried Sungmin’s ass cheeks apart and pushed the blunt head between them. “Ready?”
Sungmin swallowed his trepidation, eternally grateful to the younger for asking, and nodded. At the first push, the pain was nearly unbearable and tears sprang into the corners of his eyes as Sungmin tried to blink them away and force himself to relax. Eunhyuk made a few shallow thrusts which in turn pushed Sungmin’s cock fully into Donghae’s tight heat while the brunette reached up to wipe at Sungmin’s eyes, both actions doing wonders to distract him from the slices of pain in his ass.
Once Eunhyuk was fully seated inside, they all paused for a moment to adjust and let their breathing calm and sync together naturally. Both boys seemed to be waiting for some kind of ‘go’ signal from Sungmin while Eunhyuk kissed his neck and spine and Donghae ran big hands along his biceps. Sungmin felt himself slowly unraveling at all the sensations assaulting him without end.
Finally he decided to end the torture by rocking first forward deeper into Donghae then back to feel even more of Eunhyuk. The perfect feeling of filling and being filled was so new and wonderful for Sungmin that he couldn’t concentrate on establishing any kind of rhythm so Eunhyuk did it for him. The redhead’s fingers gripped his hips and thrust up, the momentum pushing him further in Donghae and they let out matching sounds of pleasure.
The pace Eunhyuk set up was slow and sweet, the sensual slide of his hips bringing both Sungmin and Donghae acute pleasure. But soon it wasn’t enough and it was like their minds were linked because Donghae began rocking back in earnest at the same time Eunhyuk and Sungmin’s thrusts increased in tempo and intensity.
Sungmin knew the moment he found the sensitive spot in Donghae because the brunette let out another of those gorgeous wails and gripped onto his arms with a bruising strength. Eunhyuk seemed to know that the other was close as well, one of his hands leaving Sungmin’s hip to pump Donghae’s neglected erection mercilessly.
In the next moment Sungmin nearly lost it, his heart literally skipping a beat as Eunhyuk thrust into him deep enough to reach his bundle of nerves and Donghae clenched unbearably tight around Sungmin’s cock as he came in hot, sticky ropes over his and Sungmin’s stomachs, groaning out their names.
“Oh, fuck,” Sungmin practically screamed. “Donghae… Eunhyuk!”
Eunhyuk growled, continuing to assault Sungmin’s spot ruthlessly. “Fuck. Sungmin, say my name.”
“Hy-Hyukjae,” Sungmin managed to gasp out and he took in the exquisite image of a panting, spent and completely satiated Donghae beneath him, as Eunhyuk guided the older boy’s hand to twine with Donghae’s before covering both of their hands with his own. Donghae’s content smile and a precise roll of Eunhyuk’s hips threw Sungmin over the edge with wild abandon. His vision burst along with his heart and he spilled inside Donghae, both of their names rolling off his tongue as if it was made specifically for the purpose of calling them out. Eunhyuk groaned, sinking his teeth into Sungmin’s shoulder and following him into the blinding haze. The indescribable sensation of being filled to the brim was only surpassed by the parallel feeling reflected in Sungmin’s heart and yeah, he couldn’t really deny love anymore, not when it was staring adoringly up at him through matted and tangled hair or tracing lazy swirls along his spine and leaving soft kisses between his shoulders.

Sungmin walked into the kitchen later to the smell of boiling vegetables. It wasn’t the most aromatic of scents, but it was homey and it made Sungmin’s heart swell. Standing in the doorway for a moment, Sungmin watched Eunhyuk and Donghae bustle around the kitchen working to create the best dinner they could, all for him.
Donghae noticed his presence first and the smile that lit his face was almost difficult to look at, it was shining so brightly. He practically glided over to Sungmin, his movements light and graceful to match the happiness shimmering in his eyes.
“Minnie! Feeling better after your shower?”
“Yeah,” Sungmin answered with a matching smile and then winced slightly. “Um… a little sore, to be honest.”
Eunhyuk shot a saucy wink over his shoulder while continuing to stir the steaming pot. Donghae simply chuckled but quickly sobered up.
“So… Hyukkie and I were talking while you were in the shower,” he paused for a moment and Sungmin’s palms began to sweat a little. It was unusual for Donghae to show much uncertainty and it made him nervous. “We’d… we’d like you to move in with us. You know, so you can stay here and all. With us.”
Abandoning his cooking for a moment, Eunhyuk came over to put his arm around Donghae looking serious and for once not teasing anyone. Sungmin knew the gesture was to convey Eunhyuk’s agreement with what Donghae had stated. He couldn’t think for a moment as their proposal washed through him, but he didn’t need to because he already had the answer and he’d known it from the moment his feet had brought him to their door after the news came.
“Yes. Of course. I wasn’t even thinking of leaving you guys,” he said in a rush and had to pause to swallow and just breathe for a moment. “I love you. I love you both so much.”
Donghae looked surprised for a moment before recovering quickly. “I love you too. My God, Sungmin, I do.”
“Sungmin, I’ve loved you since the moment you told me you hated Heathcliff and Cathy,” Eunhyuk stated dramatically, earning a laugh from Sungmin and a playful punch from Donghae. The three boys embraced and kissed each other in turn, basking in the warm glow of love and companionship that surrounded them.
Until the top of the pot began to rattle and water started boiling over onto the stove causing Eunhyuk to shriek in panic and flutter around it ineffectually trying to save their dinner while Donghae and Sungmin just attempted to hold each other up elsewise the force of their laughter would have had them literally rolling on the floor.
Yeah, Sungmin thought to himself happily, things are going to work out just fine.
