Who needs the sun, when the rain's so full of life
Who needs the sky
It's here in your arms I want to be buried
You are my sanctuary
Who needs the sun, when the rain's so full of life
Who needs the sky, when the ground's open wide
It's here in your arms I want to be buried
You are my sanctuary
Who needs a smile, when a tear's so full of love
Who needs a home, with the stars up above
It's here in your heart I want to be carried
You are my sanctuary
Who needs the light, with the darkness in your eyes
Who needs to sleep, with the stars in the sky
It's here in your soul I want to be married
You are my sanctuary
And the earth was void and empty
And darkness was upon the face of the earth
Is all of this pain so necessary
You arrrrrrre my sanctuary
Surely whoever speaks to me in the right voice
Him or her I shall follow
As water follows the moon
silently...
with fluid steps
Who needs the sun?
Around the globe
Who needs the sky?
I hear your voice
Who needs to sleep?
You are [you are] my sanctuary
You are [you are, you are]
You are [you are] my sanctuary
Gah, I've been so addicted this song in combination with Bedtime story. Over and over and over again. LOUD. The two songs just flow so nicely together and then I skip the cd player back and start again. I think with sanctuary I like the whispering part. LOL. I love when musicians do that...like they are letting their listeners in a some special secret. I think there's a beevis and butthead joke in there somewhere. Didn't they used to make fun of songs with whispers/speaking in it? Dunno.
Last night went ok. Slow and long but ok. The girls teased me about my big ol thing of chocolate soy milk that I had brought for my snack and we all reminisced about playing old school nintendo when I broke out my Super mario brothers 3 on my gameboy. Yes, the night was THAT slow. I got stuck in the fricking water world! Grrrrrrrr! I forgot how flipping hard that part of the game is. Damn mutant fish! Today I only had to work 6 hours, which wasn't bad and got home a little after 11.
Tomorrow I am off and we have company coming for lunch! "The boys" are coming for brats and corn on the cob, although last I heard they were in a bit of a spat and Charles might not be coming. He can be quite the drama queen some days. I hope he does come, since the dynamics just won't be the same having one without the other... Either way, I'm looking forward to having me some good eats! Then back to night shift on thursday. After that, this butt monkey is on vacation!
