The honor system

It's such a beautiful day today... sunshiney and in the 70's. Pefect ME weather. On the way home from work today I stopped at a farm house advertising fresh corn on the cob for sale and was tickled pink to find that it operated on the honors system. The guy had all these bags of corn neatly stacked underneath an picnic umbrella and then a simple locked box with a sign that said: My dear customers, please place your 3 dollars in the box. And so I put in my share and a little bit extra and felt good about the level of innocence and trust around here. You can't even buy gas without paying first where I used to live!

Needless to say I made a meal of the corn (and about half a stick of butter) and it was soo delicious. I added some cottage cheese for some protein since I so have not been into meat lately. I look at it and I see the flesh torn off of an animal and it grosses me out. Ppteewy! I feel different when I eat less meat too... like cognitively I'm more clear and focused. It's probably all in my head.

Anyhow, Later I had a really great yoga session out on the deck, which left me feeling warm and supple. I had a great conversation going with my inner guide... Now pull up from the hips... feel your chest expand.... Look to the tree for a point of focus and grow your roots down, etc. I just felt like there was something inside of me that was guiding me along and inspiring me to do my very best. It felt good. Later I did about 20 push ups (not all at once) which pleased me as well. I think I need to get organized. I need to come up with a written plan and stick to it. Oh and charts with stickers. I become strangely motived by calendar type things where I earn a sticker for each day that I stick to my routine. Hmmmmmm. A project... I can do different themes for each month and then go to the dollar store to get all kinds of theme stickers! I'd like to have it all ready to start when I get back from vacation...

Yeah.
