Synopsis: After a chance encounter with famous director Yvonne Hartman, designer Toshiko Sato lands her dream job as the head of costuming for her latest film; an adaptation of the classic movie, Clash of the Titans. As she befriends the enigmatic man who’s been cast as the lead, strange things start to happen, and she finds herself caught up in the ancient story of two star-crossed lovers.
A/N: I played a bit with Greek mythology here to suit the story, and fit a bit more with the Torchwood characters.
Epilogue
Even with the mental breakdown of the director, Clash of the Titans Reborn wrapped without a hitch and was released later that year to much success. Yvonne emerged from her sojourn in the countryside to recover from her ordeal in time for Oscar season, and promptly announced that her next feature film would be entitled, Kept in the Closet; a semi-autobiographical piece about her struggles to make it in Hollywood as a female director. A few months later Lois quit being her PA and the two of them finally acknowledged their long-standing relationship.
Tosh and Owen had moved in together by the time the movie premiered, and combined their skills to launch Acropolis Designs, their new venture merging costume design and special effects. They had chosen the name to honor the Goddess Athena who they now had the priviledge of calling their friend. When Yvonne called them about working on her new movie, they politely declined, having already signed on to the space rock opera Storm of Ages, starring John "Doc" Smith and Rose Tyler.
As for John Hart, Athena offered to return him to human form and bring him back to Malta, but in the end Hart decided to stay. He had found a lovely goat-girl by the name of Briseis and fallen in love. He did however ask her to help him remove his leather pants as they were chafing his tail.
When she told the story later, Athena said she was quite certain that if had been the first time she had ever seen a goat leer. Pants removed, the two goats had trotted off for a tumble in a nearby cave and Athena had rolled her eyes before returning to Olympus and sending a message to Circe that the goat wearing a gold chain around his neck and his lady friend were not to be harmed.
And then there was Ianto and Jack.
The press had a field day with the romance between the two leads of the film, and when Jack Harkness announced he was retiring from acting, more than a few hearts were broken.
But Jack didn’t care.
He had something much more important to look forward to. He left the press to Gwen and Rhys to handle, and the god of wine and his consort handled it by sending a case of wine to the major gossip rags, each be-spelled to ensure that the drinker forgot all about Ianto and Jack and focused instead on the sex tape that Felicity Chaswell had just released in the hopes of being the next Kim Kardashian.
Some time ago, Ianto had bought the small island near Seriphos where he and his mother had found refuge after being cast out by King Acrisius when he was only a few days old. He had built a villa on the island, hoping that one day he would find Niko again and they would make it their own. Now that Jack Andronikos Harkness remembered his past life as Niko, that dream became a reality that left Ianto breathless.
Zeus gave Perseus leave from Olympus for the next century as a reward for conquering Thetis and putting an end to her curse. He had also granted Jack immortality so that Perseus would never be alone again. The only caveat was that Perseus would have to answer his call if ever needed, and it was a condition that his son gladly accepted.
After Rhys made good on his promised party of the ages to celebrate their union, the two men settled down into the life they had first started centuries ago in their own private refuge by the sea.
Now and then Zeus would check on them from his throne on Olympus and inspired by the strength of their love, he drew a new constellation in the stars; one of the valiant Perseus and his brave Andronikos entwined together as lovers. A testament for all time to a love so strong that even the gods themselves could not break it.
