I finally wrote that return payment drabble for Ken. After the wonderful flangst one he wrote for me and the Cho Chang one which I loved, this offering is not much, but here it is. And a question for Mary - Can you believe I wrote a drabble about rain that's not angsty? :)

She gazes out the window into the gray, wet day. Drops patter in a gentle staccato. Tree branches wave, beckoning. She chances a glance down the hallway where his office light glows. He’s still there, hunched over his desk. Has been for days.
Her sigh breaks the rain’s rhythm. Enough waiting. It’s too quiet in here. Too dry. She marches out the door. No jacket. No umbrella. Just an upturned face and open arms. The drops tickle and taste sweet. She laughs.
“Hey,” he calls from the open doorway. “I’m finished. Wait for me.”
She laughs again. “Come on, then.”
