haha the top quote is from bridget jones' diary 2. anyways this weekend was incredible. i cant believe it. on saturday, despite many delays, we wound up in Bolongna which is this beautiful college town. very old and historic, and a lot of fun. there was good shopping too, and all the piazzas were amazing to see. but of course this city did not compare to our next adventure...ROME!!!! ugh i couldnt believe i was there. after we got to our hotel (which was beautiful, thanks to mee mom) we went directly to the coloseum..as soon as we turned the corner, kailtyn and i just ran to it. it was unbelievable. it was huge and beautiful...fullfilling all of my dreams of seeing it. We walked through the roman ruins too which was quite a hike lol but it was amazing as well. everytime we turned the corner into a new piazza, we would just stand there in awe and the huge, historic buildings. i was so jealous of myself. then after the coloseum, we had to take a taxi to Vatican City. When we pulled up, tears were actually streamimg down my face i couldnt believe it. We stood in this long ass line and we finally got into the bisilica of st peters. oh my god is right. if you dont have faith, go to this church (which is the size of two city blocks at least) at you will come out a new person. I just couldnt believe my eyes. it must have been one of my best moments. after the bisilica, we walked around and of course souvenir shopped. it was so much fun...ive never heard so many different languages spoken in one place lol. then we headed over to the spanish steps (strait out of roman holiday) and the fontana (straight out of La Dolce Vita). ugh if you ever go to one place in your life...please go to rome. words cant describe how i feel. i mean im only 19 and to experiance all that i have it makes me feel really good about myself.
the next day we woke up extra early to go stand in the line for the vatican museum. it was a 2 1/2 hr wait, wrapping around vatican city. we finally got in and finally experianced every room that the vatican was adorned with. all the paintings by famnous artists including raphael's school of athens...simply amazing. then comes the best part...question: what did you do on halloween this year. answer: i went and saw the sistine chapel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES THATS RIGHT NONE OTHER THAN MICHAELANGELOS MOST FAMOUS WORK....ugh to be surounded by so much history and so much faith. it was simply incredible. i am obviously still in awe about it! ugh...i love my life. i really really do.
so kaitlyn and i are now expert tourists...please if you go with me, you must be prepared for many sights in very little time. we walked everywhere and we saw almosT all you could see in rome IN ONLY TWO DAYS!!! heck we did venice in 6 hrs, so we did rome in 2. i was really happy too cause i bought my mom and my aunts these beautiful watercolor paintings in the piazza navona. i am sure they will like them.

all in all it was one of the best trips of my life.

hopefully if jane and i get it together for december, christmas in paris will be wonderful.
