So anyway, Grad night was interesting, except for a couple big downers, but hey, I had some fun. For starters, the bus on the way to our first destination was blasting rap music so loud, I thought my head was going to explode or I was going to go deaf. It was rediculous. Then we get to the first place. GoKarts. Awesomeness. It had gokarts, karaoke, a couple of arcade games, and other stuff. I was all for the racing, and I did it a couple times, but then Hannah and I went up to try out the karaoke machine. It was a little nervy because we were the only two up there, but I had a song I wanted to try and so did Hannah, but it was kinda dumb for us to be the only two up there.
Well anyway, lucky us, that's when everyone else decides to come upstairs to try the karaoke machine and has ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT A LINE IS apparently. So there's the option to reserve a song, and all these girls are crowding it, trying a different song every thirty seconds when they can't get the beat on the song they're on. I decide to reserve a song, and everyone gets pissed off when it's not the song they requested, and I go and say that they've been around the stupid machine and have had their pick at at least ten songs before I finally got sick of waiting for them to finish and put my own song on reserve.
Gah I'm way too pushy for my own good.
I back off when one of my acquaintances (because I can't call her a friend) tells me she hasn't had a chance to sing yet (and she hasn't) so I let her go, but she is SO off key, I can't stand to be in the room anymore. So I go down because it's open racing on the GoKarts. I go back up after my race and Hannah and I do a duo of Gimme Gimme Gimme by Abba, because we had recently seen Mamma Mia, and it's kind of an inside joke. Sad thing was Hannah didn't know the song as well as I did, so it was mostly me singing and her joining in at intervals. I did a solo of Once Upon a December, and tried to do Time is Running Out by Muse, but people thought I've been on it for too long and wanted their turn (believe me, I wasn't on a third of the time the others were)
At about 3AM, it was time to leave, and we made our way to this random part of Seattle to get on a boat in Lake Washington. Blackjack tables, Dancing to rediculous music and a downright HILARIOUS Hypnotist show were the highlights, but, I spent all my energy explaining the rediculousness of the karaoke machine, so I'm signing off.
