Belated New Year Entry

So...um...HAPPY NEW YEAR and all that.

Mine was rather interesting. We had quite a few people. My uncle, his girlfriend Lisa, my step-brother and his wife, my step-sister and her boyfriend. (I talked about him in an earlier entry...he's an illegal Mexican. They had broke up but I guess the thought of her being alone for another year lowered her standards a little more.) And my step-sister's friend (or rather newly ex-husband of her friend) Parnell was down with his three-year-old son. It was a full house. For the most part I sat around with my step-siblings and their significant others and played Hand and Foot. So anyway, I was upstairs hanging out on the computer, my dad just recently got DSL, which is slower than my cable at home but nothing compared to the dial up they had before, when I hear Carrie yell over the intercom that my dad and uncle need to get down to the second floor. Apparently my uncle's girlfriend fell off the porch, a good 10 feet, onto the rock below. She ended up shattering her shoulder, inside the joint (yeow) and had to be rushed to the emergency room. All of us were so worried we really didn't celebrate the holiday. I had a sip of the champagne, which was old, and it tasted like carbonated vinegar. Fun, fun.

I forgot to make resolutions this year. I think I was good last year (Santa gave me presents) but I think I want to focus more on my school work. Even if that means quitting my job (Rev will be very disappointed in me) I think I'll just have to suck it up. I have no clue what to expect this upcoming semester and if it's anything like this past one, I'm really going to have to buckle down.

The most significant thing I've done since I got here was clean the second floor bathroom. I got tired of listening to everyone bitch about how dirty the toilet was so I cleaned it. The inside took me about three minutes. Yeah...real rough. And I didn't do a half-assed job, it looked fantastic. Then I cleaned the bottom, which I admit had nasty grime. I had to get bleach out for that. I also went shopping, as many girls do my age, and got some new clothes. I'm slowly weaning myself out of my pajama phase. It was good for freshman year but it's time for me to have clothes that don't make me look like a complete slob. And I got a new pair of Fossil sunglasses, since Ragabash stepped on my last pair. The great thing about Branson is its outlet shopping. Great deals.

Anyhow, I should get back to my lazyness. It's such hard work. Bye!
