Wow. That was deep dude... I can't believe Nic had an eating disorder either. It sorta makes sense from what you've told me about the people she used to hang out with (I think). And it does make sense that you didn't know - don't beat yourself up for it if you are.
If you want a laugh, here's a little bit about my day. Got up and got ready, left the house somewhat on time... for the first time since I have started this job, I am going to be on time. Okay, five minutes late... but who's counting?
At least, that is what I thought, until I hit the loooong exit ramp from 44 to NW Expressway, where the ramp was backed up all the way to the point where it veered off the highway and then some. Was stuck there for 30 minutes. They were doing construction. What exactly they were improving, I do not know. Ugh.
Finally, I get to work and James is not scheduled. He is here to tell me what's up and prepare me for my first day alone. Eep. Then he informed me that my boss, Tony, is going to be fired. This was revealed at the training meeting that I missed because I am a forgetful idiot. He knows he is going to be fired and isn't happy about it. They are letting go of ALL the full-time positions. Yikes. They're bringing in more part-timers like myself and James. Joy. What exactly it means to us that Tony will be fired is still unclear.
Oh! And because I hadn't really eaten anything before work, I had to eat a sickeningly sweet oatmeal cookie for "breakfast". I then spilled water all over myself - the cup was 3/4 full. Ugh again. At least it was water and not cranberry juice - I would have been tempted to go home if I hadn't already used the lie of spilling orange juice all over myself to make up for being late because I had to "change."
Shaping up to be a fantastic day. :)
BTW, I have looked into crevette's journal when she started in 2002... there is a really sad thing she had to go through in that year... and many more funny entries to enjoy. She's such a good writer and I know I am weird because all it is is LIFE, but she's hilarious!
