Oh man! I just got back from lunch with Scott and I am so happy.
For those of you that don't know Scott, I'll fill you in.
I first met Scott in Calc II, the second semester of my freshman year. I thought he was annoying. He always, jokingly, talked back to the professor and always had something smart to say. I never really paid him much attention and we weren't formally introduced. Well the following semester he was in my class again, but it didn't really register since, as I said, I didn't pay him any attention. But this time he was in my group. We hit it off horribly. He was a loud-mouth and didn't need to study while I struggled and was really quiet since I didn't know anyone. After a while we ended up talking a lot and shooting off our mouths at either one another, or jokingly to our beloved prof.
Luckily we had Calc IV together as well as Bio. Amusing each other is the only way we got thru. Unfortunately, he decided OU was too expensive so he decided to move back to Texas and I didn't really keep up with him, although I missed him a lot.
Scott and I have a lot in common but have neither of us would really ever want to pursue something more than we already have. All we did during luch was compare math prof/class horror stories and talk about the stuff we did understand and the stuf we didn't. It was a huge math geek convention b/w the two of us. I loved it! I'm so glad I was able to catch him before he heads back to UNT on Thursday. I think we're going to get together tonight with a couple other friends, Chris and Barnabus, that were in our Calc III study group and hang out. Chris and B are also going to be in my Stat class in the fall (thank god!) and have been in each other's math classes quite a bit, just like me and Scott.
::Happy sigh::
I also went in to the casino and had to take an unexpected drug test but now I am officially hired! Tomorrow I need to call in and get my badge and then get my uniform. Fun!!! ::Squee::
friends,
