I’ve recently start learning about podcasting, originally as a way to place audio versions of my reading on my website to promote my books. Over the past day or so I have become focused on another idea I had… creating a podcast to showcase authors and books that not only present POC character as MCs (in a positive way), but that focus on other people and communities normally ignored or misrepresented in fiction. I even considered the idea of expanding the subject to include other kids of media as well like Movies, TV, and Games. So after the long intro I have two questions…
#1 Podcasting advice. I’ve been watching tech tutorials that talk mostly about equipment and such (I have access to a headphone mic, Ableton 8 sound editing program, and a MACbook pro computer), but now as much nuts and bots info outside of just tech. How to record phone interviews…how to use Ableton to do a live cast… etc… as well as the best way to post, format, and market podcasts. Ideas?
#2 Looking for suggestions for names for the podcast, something that would grab people attention but would say something about what the podcast is for and that it’s serious business.
