I don’t know if I remembered to mention it, but my story “A Taste of Inspiration” has been accepted by Shadowfire Press, and I just finished all of the paperwork for it (except for the contract which will go out tomorrow). It feels good to get that done, knowing what a pile of things I have slotted to do tomorrow. One project is I have is to decide ( Read more... )

I imagine you get gropped a whole lot less suring phone sex by people you'd rather not be touching you. That really cheeses the dancer off. And those monster heels...owie. There's no way these wide ndn feet of mine could squeese into a pair of those. Those dancer work very hard, for long hour. I got lots of respect for them being able to not only walk in them things, but dance. That takes some serious skill.

I was thinking on this, and this takes some ovaries, trying to write what you're saying you're trying to write without having much first hand in that world. Then again, I've tabled a story for like 2 years now because i decided that even with all the hookers I've known I couldn't trust myself not to fuck up a story where one of my leads was a hooker, so i tried to tone it down to a stripper story, beause i have even more knowledhe of that world, and still had to table it. there's some sensitive shit up iin that

Yeah, my muse likes to throw curve balls at me all the time like this, leading me into tons of research (wqhich fortunatly I love doing research) and the hope when I finally pull it off I don't mess up too bad. To be honest I still got months to go before I'll even attempt to start writing this, too much research still left to do.

I think if I was like I was in my twenties I might try a couple months in the industry to get more of a feel for it, I was a dancer (non exotic) for a time then, but this 40 year old body is not quite up to far for such things now.
