My first week back at work... sort of blew... On Monday they put us on the phones... me= overwhelmed. I told my trainers I didn't feel prepared for this. I'm also shell shocked after being off for a year... it got better. The customers I deal with though... wow... some of them are really... simple... I'm being nice... and some of them are so flipping rude I can't even believe it.
Tuesday night was awesome! Technically, I'm not supposed to go into details... So, I guess I can say that it was an awesome anniversary and I didn't even cry! :-) Though, I almost shot my sup at work... I told her I had to leave early for this and she told me if I *had* to go then I could... No shit! If I didn't feel I had to go, I wouldn't have! I've been going every year for probably the last 7-10! I'm not gonna start missing them now.
By Friday it was... better. When I left Robert with the sitter he didn't cry! First time!! Hope that keeps up...
Yesterday, I got the 90 meters of broadcloth to make tablecloths with for the wedding. I still have a to do list a mile long... but at least that's half done... I also got a ton in gift certificates from Fabricville! For every $30 you spend, they give you $15 in gift certificates to use between April 1st-12th! woo hoo!!!!! *happy happy dance*
Also picked up Twilight last night (and for any bunny fans,
Angry Alien has done a Twilight reenactment that was hilarious!). However, when I got home I found out that Robert has hidden the remote for the DVR... so I have to wait to watch the special features... *sigh*
I read two historical romances this week... lol. Normally I got the paranormal... but these were pretty good. When the Duke Returns by Eloisa James-- bout a chick who married by proxy and waited 11 years for her hubby to come home... he does and asks for an annulment... yeah... that's gonna happen. hehe And Devil's Bargain by Jade Lee-- Not as good... not as smutty... but a fun read anyway.
So, that's my week in a nutshell. After the monkey gets up hopefully I'll get out for a walk.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!!!!
Later!
