The war on privacy continues

So I try to log into my YouTube account, and here's what I get:

"Link your YouTube and Google Accounts

"You will no longer be able to sign in to YouTube without a Google Account.
If you do not want to link this YouTube account, you can sign out here."

Fuck! Yeah, sure it's for our "own" security. Uh-huh, tell us another one. It's so Google can mine all our data, including our private e-mail communications! I'm sure it won't be long before we can't log into LJ either without connecting it to our Google accounts either, so I may as well just say goodbye now. (I wouldn't be surprised if Facebook is involved too; prepare for the merger.)

Well, there's another Web service I won't be using anymore. (Good, yet another less password to remember. Soon it'll be back to using the phone and paper and pencil to communicate ... until Facebook-Google takes over the post office and all the phone companies, that is.)

Edit: Oh no, and now there's the "new Twitter": http://twitter.com/newtwitter Don't tell me they're going to make us link to Google-Facebook (FaceGoo?) as well! (Interesting that their very uninformative video is hosted by YouTube, no?)
