okay...
So even though I have loved and listened to this song for as long as I can remember (Dad probably had the headphones right up to Mum's tummy when I was in there since he just about wore that Time and Tide record out playing it so much)...I still dont know one thing:
In the 'Pioneer/6 months in a leaky boat' video...who was the dancing maori guy who comes in at 3:56-4:36 min? He looks so silly.
heehee I remember two things that used to happen whenever this song came in when dad was making supper when I was around 4 or 5
1. Me and Dad would loudly sing "Aotearoa!" and the chorus along with the boys (partly because it bugged Mum)
2. I would spin and dance around to the strumming part of the song and do it so fast that I nearly got sick everytime. Try it-it's still pretty fun when yer older.
My dad has the coolest taste in music, glad he's not lame on that front.
