It's time!

Today was officially Cyrus's first day back to school. I didn't think he would get up in such a good mood. He and I argued until 10 when I took his tv out of his room. This morning, I got up before him, and made him breakfast. Then his alarm clock went off, and I started laughing because he was sleeping through it. THat's my child, I did the same exact thing when I went to school. So, I went in his room and tickled him until he was awake. Then he got dressed and came to the table to eat his breakfast while I had my coffee. Then it was time to go and wait for the bus. I was going to take him to school, but he insisted on riding the bus. As the bus turned to go on the pickup before us Cyrus said, "Mom, if you want to kiss me, you'll have to do it now, I don't want to get embarassed." So I did. Then when the bus got to our stop, and he got on the bus, I yelled, "Bye Baby!! I love you!! Have a wonderfully good day at school, and I'll be RIGHT HERE when you get home." I had to do it. I mean sheesh, he's 6, I can't be embarrassing him already, can I?

Then I came inside and had another cup of coffee before waking up Jayden. Then he got up and I dressed him and fed him. Then we had some errands to run. And now here we are!!!

So school has started. That means that fall's coming right?? I hope so! This weekend, I think that me and the boys are going to do some yard sale hunting. I need to find some warmer clothes for Jayden. When I find a job, I'll just order them.
And I sat down today and figured out my plan for the next few months. I mean I can't just sit around and wait for an answer on from the housing people on the coast. That would be stupid to wait longer. So here's what I got so far.
1. Enroll and start the GED classes here. That way if I hear from the housing people, I'll have taken some classes, and could just need to go take the test.
2. FIND A JOB!! I know I've complained about how hard it is to find work and affordable child care, but it's really something that I have to do. I mean shit. There's got to be SOMETHING.
3. Rag my caseworker's ass at DHS. There are child care assistance programs, I've looked them up, and I qualify, it's a matter of her not wanting to do more paperwork.
4. If at this next appointment on the coast, I don't hear something positive (For example: We have an apartment opening for you). Then I need to sign up for housing here, there is a waiting list, so I need to be put on that one. We are hoping to get my cousin's neighbor kicked out of his trailer, and $200 is alot cheaper than $550.
5. After I take the GED test and pass. I need to register for CNA classes at the community college, whether it be the one here or on the coast. I've checked into it, and I qualify for financial aide. I can finish the course and be hired as a CNA as I worked toward getting a nursing degree. They are hiring CNA's on the coast for $15 hour.

That's really about it.
