Grammar Nazi At Home
There is no such word as "anyways!!!!!"
That word is my new pettest-of-the-pet peeve, because it seems like everyone uses it as if it was perfectly fine. I tend to think it's an 'under 30' thing, OTOH, it could well be more of a regional thing - anyone know?
tenaya , re your 'beta' conversation - one of my most frustrating experiences was beta'ing for a college grad in library science, of all things, who insisted that a particular character would use that word, even though he had never uttered it in canon and was fairly well educated, never mind that his slash partner would have died if he'd used the word. Yet she refused to change it, anywhere she had it, and continued to use it in subsequent stories. Arrrghhh!
