Protruding Discs.
So, I've been out of commission (well, sort of... haven't been to work since last tuesday, but haven't exactly followed my doctor's orders as strictly as i should have) due to a really crappy back problem:
I've been diagnosed with a protruding disc. For a few days, every little movement gave me immense pain. They prescribed three different drugs: percocet (wooo), naproxen, and norflex.
This protruding disc thing is what ends up turning into herniated discs, leading to even greater pain, and perhaps back surgery in the future. I hope it doesn't have to come to that, but either way this is something I will live with the rest of my life. Makes me wonder about what it'll be like if I have kids. Pregnancy would probably kill my back, and then, to think about running around after your kids and carrying them, etc. etc...that will suck. Anyway, that won't be happening any time soon, so I'll move on and leave the worries for later.
I switched over to Verizon this weekend because I kept going over so many minutes with cingular (y'know, since most people i know have verizon), and David got me this kickass new phone...The Motorola Q. I'm still contemplating getting the Palm Treo because it IS a better phone, but I can't get over how beautiful the Q is. So thin, so light, so pretty. (what a girly thing to say, eh?) It's a smartphone, so I have unlimitee internet access at almost broadband speeds. Pretty damned cool.
Claudia's farewell was this weekend. She's a coworker of mine. It's sad to see her go, we've had some really fun times...
