Not again !
Well following my teaching I was heading back to the office - it was really busy and the traffic was so ditzy and monday with folks on their mobiles, eating Gods knows what
Now Leeds has an inner ring road - it is an urban motorway - it is a dual carriage way and people drive like idiots most of the time
so the road goes under the city in a series of very dark long tunnels
I enter the first one and am driving at 40 and have the architypal white van man up my bum - of course on the phone - of course wanting to do 90 - and then I come out of the first tunnel into the light and hears some beeping and enter the second longest tunnel - there wandering up the offside very thin path wobbling and chattering to herself and twitching her head in a very thin t shirt thin trousers and slippers is an old lady
people were beeping her
people werent stopping - not that you can but they werent even actively avoiding her
so I got straight on the phone to the police and told them and asked - had anyone reported her - no - well to get where she was she must have been going for sometime in heavy traffic and and she was walking very slowly
I was so so so cross and so so upset this poor woman and the police were so nice and thanked me so much for ringing them
as with the woman who was in the road I found earlier in the year outside a school where people were just driving past her as they dropped their kids off I was so angry
right I have vented
sorry folks but i just dam despair of people who just dont see what is going on around them - its all blinkered get from a to b in the quickest time
right I need to have a cuppa and something to eat
