[ CHARACTER INFORMATION ]

Name: Usagi Tsukino (Eternal Sailor Moon)
Age: About 16 or 17.
Gender: Female
Fandom: Sailor Moon (mangaverse)
Timeline: Post-series, but before she and Mamoru are married (and of course before Chibiusa is born.)
History: Usagi’s Wikimoon page, Sailor Moon’s Wiki page, differences between the anime and manga, Sailor Moon’s Wikimoon page, and an in-depth manga overview on the Sailor Moon wiki.

Character Personality:
The Usagi of the manga is a bit different from the Usagi of the anime. When we’re initially introduced to her in the first act, she’s a lazy schoolgirl who would rather play video games than study or work particularly hard in school. From scenes later in the manga, where she does well on her schoolwork to ensure she’ll go to the same school as her friends, we get the understand that she’s not unintelligent. Far from, she’s genuinely just lazy and a bit of a daydreamer. She’s easily distracted by her friends, games, food, boys, and cute things (except for Chibiusa.)

Initially, when she learns of her identity as Sailor Moon, she seems reluctant to fight, but over time she grows into a powerful warrior for love and justice, aided by her friends and fellow scouts, as well as her boyfriend for most of the series, Mamoru Chiba aka Tuxedo Mask. Their belief in her and her powers, as well as her desire to protect and save them, causes Sailor Moon to gather strength and power up to Super Sailor Moon and finally Eternal Sailor Moon, but Usagi herself grows, too, becoming quite mature by the end of the series and takes on a slightly more adult demeanor (helped of course by the presence of her daughter from the future, who depends on her and looks up to her for most of the series.)

Despite this, off the battle field, Usagi is still quite a goofball. This doesn’t seem to ever really change, because when Chibiusa returns for her training as Sailor Chibi Moon, she brings along a letter from Neo-Queen Serenity, Usagi’s future self, which is written in a very simplistic manner and features a cute cartoon drawing of the Queen, overall feeling like classic Usagi. This ties in to when Usagi first begins high school and joins the manga club. We never actually see her doing any drawings during the series apart from Neo-Queen Serenity’s note, but it seems to be a hobby of hers.

While these aspects are much more played up in the anime, even in the manga, Usagi is a bit of a crybaby, especially early on. Over time she gets a bit more of a backbone and doesn’t cry as often over the smallest of things, though she still gets quite emotional when her friends or people she loves get hurt or people suffer. She especially hates it when people suffer for her sake, and several times during the series she questions if things wouldn’t be better if she was gone or the Silver Moon Crystal destroyed. Ultimately she never gives in to these insecurities and strikes back at her enemies harder than ever, resolving herself to use the great power she was given to fight all those who would destroy innocent worlds and innocent lives.

A major aspect of Usagi’s character, and the story of Sailor Moon overall, is her deep love for Mamoru. Her feelings for him and his for her is one of the key factors in her growing strength and her confidence in herself, along with the love and support of her friends. The two begin dating after the first arc and remain together for the rest of the series. There are a few instances when other characters kiss Usagi and she feels guilty for being kissed by someone who wasn’t Mamoru (even though she didn’t initiate or return any of them) and likewise feels jealous when she sees Mamoru with other girls. She even becomes irrationally jealous of Chibiusa for stealing Mamoru’s attention, even though Usagi knows nothing will happen between them since Chibiusa is their daughter. But she still can’t help but feel jealous, though towards the end of the series she becomes more and more understanding as it becomes clear just how homesick Chibiusa is and how much she misses her parents. Since Chibiusa is their daughter of the future, Mamoru and Usagi both gradually try and take on a more parental role for her, as if to make up for the fact that she can’t be with her real parents (since she seems to have a hard time seeing Usagi and Mamoru as they are in the present time as her parents.)

And of course there’s Usagi’s bond with her friends, her fellow Sailor Scouts. Right from the beginning she depends on them so much, thinking she can’t accomplish anything without them and feeling that together, and only together, are they invincible. It’s because of them that she was able to up her powers and defeat her enemies, and eventually become the queen of the 30th century. Even when their ideals may differ, as is the case when the Outer Scouts first appear together, Usagi is always looking for a way for them to find a common ground, and refuses to engage in fights with her fellow Scouts, certain that they should all be helping each other. When she learns of the existence of Sailor Saturn and what her powers are, she refuses to kill her and doesn’t want Uranus and the other two to hurt her either, and holds to that until the very end. It breaks her heart when her friends are hurt trying to protect her, but she refuses to let their sacrifice be in vain, and promises to fight harder for their sake. And she keeps that promise, even when it means giving her own life.

Character Abilities:
Sailor Moon is invincible. No, seriously, half the point of the second half of the manga was that You Can’t Beat Sailor Moon. Not that this much matters, since Usagi’s powers will likely be gone here, but she’s got it pretty set in mind at this point that she’s going to win no matter what, so there you go.

While Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Moon had a number of attacks, Eternal Sailor Moon was only in one arc and really didn’t have a whole lot of attacks, though hers were infinitely more powerful than her previous incarnations attacks. Eternal Sailor Moon’s attacks were:
Starlight Honeymoon Therapy Kiss - An attack using the Eternal Tiare.
Silver Moon Crystal Power Therapy Kiss - Another attack using the Eternal Tiare.
Silver Moon Crystal Eternal Power - Eternal Sailor Moon’s most powerful attack, used only once during the series, wherein she uses the Silver Moon Crystal’s power to unleash a powerful blow.

The source of Sailor Moon’s great power comes from her Silver Moon Crystal, initially, though her power-ups to Super Sailor Moon and Eternal Sailor Moon are usually the result of her friends lending her their power. The Holy Grail, later the Holy Moon Cálice, triggered her power-ups.

Character Weaknesses:
Her friends and family, mainly. The last thing she ever wants to see happen is for someone she loves and cares about to get hurt, especially if it’s protecting her. The moments when she doubts herself the most are when she stops to wonder if all the pain she’s seen and her friends getting hurt is because of her and her Silver Moon Crystal. Outside of that, her biggest weakness as simply Usagi would probably be her lazy-ness. She’s not dumb by any means but she has a hard time feeling motivated to anything but goof off, but once she sets her mind to something, she can do it, no doubt about it.

[ MEISTER SECTION ]

Why your character should be a Meister:
Mainly because she’s had plenty of battle experience by this point, and she’s much more capable at wielding weapons. She’s light and agile and a fast learned when it comes to battling, so it makes the most sense, I think.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Soul Description:
Determined, loving, passionate, cheerful, lazy, excited.

Soul Appearance:
Usagi’s soul would be large and silver in color, with a cheerful disposition and Usagi’s trademark buns and pigtails on either side. On the center of what would be her forehead, so to speak, a bright gold crescent moon symbol, like the one that appears on Princess Eternal Sailor Moon’s forehead, is present.

[ SAMPLES ]

First Person:
[The video feed clicks on and a girl with long blonde pigtails and buns on top of her head is sitting, arms folded, staring into the camera looking concerned. She shifts a bit uncomfortably around before leaning forward to double check that the it’s turnedo n and working. Once she’s sure it is, she looks into the camera once more.]

Excuse me? I’ve just arrived here. I’ve already been told why we’re here and what the situation is, but can anyone tell me… I need to know if any of my friends are here! [A pause.] Is anyone here by the name of Mamoru Chiba, Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino… [Here she pauses and runs a hand through her hair, looking unsure at first but then continues:] Chibiusa, Hotaru Tomoe, Setsuna Meioh, Michiru Kaioh, or Haruka Tenoh? Or maybe… three talking cats? Named Luna, Artemis, or Diana. I know that’s a lot to ask for, but it’s very important to me to find my friends.

[She pauses again, rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly.] Guys, if you’re out there… please answer me.

Third Person:
Her engagement to Mamoru meant Usagi Tsukino had many things to look forward to. While the actual wedding would wait until she graduated high school, she was already imaging what it would look like. She’d even dropped into a bridal shop with Naru and the girls after school one day to look at wedding dresses. In class lately and at home she’d found herself daydreaming what kind of dresses everyone would wear, and how thrilled her mother would be, how her dad would tear up as he gave her away. How Shinji would complain the entire time about how he didn’t really want to be there, but when the moment came, he’d clap and cheer along with the rest. And Usagi, of course, relayed all these fantasies to Mamoru, who listened with a pleasant smile on his face, clearly charmed by her utter delight.

What she kept to herself, though, was how excited she was for… Well, there was one certain thing she was particularly looking forward to, and, well, it probably shouldn’t have had her as excited as it did. And so she didn’t mention it to anyone, sure they’d poke fun at her for it. But really, she couldn’t help but picturing what the wedding cake would look like. In her mind’s eye, she could see it: tall, white, with all sorts of floral designs and fancy icing that look absolutely delicious. Mouth-watering, even (to the point where, if she thought about it too much, she would actually start drooling.)

And really she didn’t think she was too odd for thinking about it. Usagi had never been to a wedding herself, but she’d seen pictures of her parents wedding, and a few of her friends had brought in pictures of their parents weddings to show her after she got engaged. And they were all lovely, but at the same time, they’d all been quite… Something about them just seemed so similar. The one thing that always stood out to Usagi, the one thing that was always unique and different and gorgeous and fantastic was the cake. Those were always her favorite photos, the ones with the bride and groom standing next to the large, extravagant cake that was twice their size. There was something about it that was just so cheerful and it made Usagi feel bubbly inside. Because wedding dresses and the ceremony were all meant to be beautiful. The cake was beautiful, too, but it also just seemed so much more fun.

And delicious, of course. Delicious was an important factor.

Lying on her bed, flipping through a magazine of bridal dresses, Usagi couldn’t help but want to go look at some cakes instead. It had occurred to her that no wedding dress could quite compare to her beauty as Neo-Queen Serenity (which sounded a bit narcissistic, but she couldn’t help it. The Queen was gorgeous!) Or even Eternal Sailor Moon. Thinking of it that way, the dress just wasn’t as exciting as it should have been. With that in mind, Usagi sat up and let out an exasperated sigh. Luna was curled up at the end of the bed, snoozing, and Usagi smiled fondly over at her. Since the defeat of the Galactic Cauldron and the rebirth of the Sailor Scouts, as well as the cats, Luna had been taking things quite easy. Everyone had been, really. Which was fair enough, Usagi figured. It had been the hardest battle they’d yet to face, and with all that had happened… Well, they all just wanted to kick back for awhile and enjoy life to its fullest while they still could.

Leaving Luna to continue her nap, Usagi quietly got up and headed into the kitchen with plans to call Makoto to go cake browsing with her. She wouldn’t divulge the real reason why, but it would give them something fun to do, and really, for the moment, that was all that mattered.

[ NOTES ] Reserved here!
Even though she shouldn’t have her actual powers here, would it be possible to allow her the ability to transform into Eternal Sailor Moon, even if that’s the extent of it? If not, can she be at least transported here in costume? I really want her to have her Eternal Sailor Moon outfit. :X
