River was packing. There wasn't much to pack - she wouldn't be gone long, and she didn't have a lot of things she needed. It felt odd to return to Serenity so soon, but at least there wouldn't be rabbits around this time.
Berthold squealed and wiggled his tentacles under the bed. She looked over her shoulder at him. "A.J. will feed you," she told the monster. "You behave, Don't eat his clothes. If he wants to draw you, sit still."
