Mostly whinging about my health, actually

My sweet son is sleeping in his rocker at my feet. Tomorrow's our last day of CHN-led parent's group at the Early Childhood Centre. This afternoon I made cupcakes for morning tea, whilst Granny got to cuddle and fuss over him.

We've both got dreadful, snotty colds. The sort that leave your nostrils and lips dry as the Nullabor - not helped by the freezing cold as winter digs her tentacles in for one last shot, and the heaters always on inside.
They reckon the average child has 20 colds by the time they're 2. Morgan's well on his way, and as Caitlin pointed out today - it means his immune system will be so much stronger further down the track, although he's all misery now.

Hoping the tight sensation where my gall bladder lives is just it doing its usual, limping and gravel-filled thing, and not the presentiment of a gallstone attack. I've been really careful since Saturday and haven't had anything other than some mild pain. One week till I see the surgeon, and hopefully get a date for me to have these things removed and then I can actually eat at restaurants and cafes occasionally! Hooray!

I've done something silly again (I don't know what) and my c-section scar hurts every time I sit, stand or bend down. I'm not going to talk in detail about the burning, searing sensation when I dare place a fingertip on the scar itself. I'm frustrated by this.
I've also discovered a completely numb spot - like a callous is numb - on the lower part of my belly. It's weird and interesting but it creeps me out.

TMI: I have a painful zit on the underside of my chin, where it meets my neck. It's from Morgan rubbing his baby-oiled head there. I'm really glad I didn't decide to get a fringe at my last haircut - seems it would be as likely to have given me pimple city on my forehead as it would have been in my teens.

I can't decide if I'm sickly, a pessimist or just a whinger. All three at once?

shellymonsta, what's your email address for paypal purposes?
