I am reading Alexis de Tocqueville's Democracy in America for my anthro honor's thesis. It is abso-fucking-incredible. It was written in 1830 by a French ex-aristocrat after the French Revolution. Ooh, very interesting. I like the first paragraph especially. The more things change, I guess.

Also, I think you meant 1830, not 1930. :)
