And now for the weekend update...
Left work early on Friday to go shopping for party supplies.... sometimes I really hate shopping. My dogs were barking and I was SO ready to go home. Figures the Vietnamese grocery where we usually get our crawfish boil spices was completely out! Guess we shouldn't have left it 'til the last minute. LOL Finally managed to hit enough stores to get everything I needed. Home by 10:00 pm. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day! We didn't have to be at the party 'til mid-day, so I spent the morning transplanting and messing around with all the new plants. Didn't I mention that I love Spring? LOL Love it... everything's so pretty and green and flowery. *sigh*
The boil was fun. Got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while. Baby was so cute! She spent the day eating crawfish and Golden Oreos - of which she would only eat the middles and give me the cookie. *grin* The crawfish got so spicy I had to give up eating them before they finished cooking all the batches. You know they're too hot when your fingers are burning and you can't taste anything any longer! :D
Best thing ever? Chocolate Fountain and Rice Krispy Treats... *gains50lbsovernight* LOL
Somebody brought Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II. I think that was the highlight of the party (besides the chocolate fountain). There was somebody playing that game from the time it was hooked up 'til the party was over. Now my goddaughters are begging to get it. I think Sam ended up with a blister. LOL She actually picked it up pretty fast and was beating some of the guys. Good girl!
We actually left the party at a decent time and watched Robin Hood when we got home. I love that show! I can't wait for that and Blood Ties every week!
I could have slept all day yesterday! I was so sleepy... I made myself stay up, though I did end up back in bed for 1.5 hours mid-day. LOL Finally ran to the store later and ended up buying MORE plants - including some tomato plants - only to get home and find out the 36 tomato plants I ordered last month had shown up at Grandma's house and needed to be planted because they were wilty. WTF! LOL So spent the rest of the evening until past dark planting tomatoes. Anybody need fresh produce later this summer? Let me know! LOL
Topped off the evening by watching the new Blood Ties episode (Lifetime - Sundays, 9 PM, CST - Check it out!). I LOVE that show!! *sigh* Henry is just too pretty...
Guess that's it for now. I need to upload some pics. I noticed I promised to upload some pics from my trips last year and never did... I'll get to it. I promise!
And last, but not least. It was GREAT! to hear from everyone last week. I didn't realize how much I'd missed talking to y'all. I'll try to do a better job at staying in contact! (((HUGStoeveryone)))
