Today was Anzac Day

We had a ceremony at school for it, as we do every year. Although generally we go to the memorial, it was too wet this year so we ended up having it in the hall.

I was actually surprisingly upset by the way people reacted to it. I mean, I may not voice my love for my country everyday but I'm proud to be Australian and I respect the ceremonies and traditions we have.
Two girls I was sitting next to talked and giggled throughout the playing of the last stand and the national anthem,
I would expect that from... well to be quite honest I wouldn't expect that from any Australian. The Year 8's behaved better than some of those in my grade. And we're supposed to be the most mature and responsible.
It really annoyed me to see them act so disrespectful toward everyone there and the memory of the Australians who died.
Sure, back in Year 8 I thought it was rather boring but now that I'm older I understand what it is all about.

I still can't believe their immaturity and disrespect.
