The insanity begins

Well from now on there won't be a boring or calm moment :P
Last night Ben and I looked at apartments and then we actually got some calls within the next couple hours! We have a few appointments already set up to see apartments/condos for rent...one tomorrow (which I might not make it to ) and the rest on Saturday. Ben is probably getting more people calling him back today, so we'll probably have even more appointments. There are many options, which is great.
I slept ok last night until I woke up early in the morning and got all filled with anxiety. Of course I am excited/nervous/anxious beginning my job...I know so little about the class and what I'll be teaching right now. But furthermore, I have car stress...I am bringing my car to the shop yet again after work today. And I am getting a "free" loaner car while it is repaired (thank goodness for that at least), but the problem is that I don't know when I am gonna pick up the finished car...the place is open 7:30-4;30 and I will never be able to make it there during those hours when I am teaching (it's at least a 45 minute drive between school and the shop). I hope they are open Saturday or something, but I don't think they are.
Then Ben woke me up early and told me that I-84 East (which I needed to take) was completely blocked by a tractor trailer accident and traffic was being rerouted. I got so stressed out even more that I had ot get up. And I just didn't get nearly enough sleep the past two nights. I feel crappy today so I better sleep well tonight. But I'll hang in there.
I had a terrible TERRIBLE experience getting from Bristol to Enfield today. I decided to take an alternate route: a route which took me an hour and 15 minutes to travel, when the trip should really be 45 minutes. I was late and I was panicked...what a bad impression for the start of my career. However, I was only going to the human resources department and they seemed unaware of the time :P They were all extremely friendly and helpful and kind. I have a mountain of forms to fill out, which is annoying, and I haveto make a decision about which health care plan to use, which is daunting. I got fingerprinted and I signed my contract!!! My first pay-day is October 15, hehe. that will be exciting!
Now I am at White and Katzman for my last day. It's kinda sad, but of course I am glad to be going into a REAL job doing what I REALLY want to do. Everyone here is so happy for me :)
And after work I will bring the car in. Tonight I go home to fill out paperwork and get ready for tomorrow and I think my dad is making a special dinner or something.
And tomorrow I start!!! AHHH! And hopefully tomorrow I get out early enough to look at thefirst condo with Ben.
I will again start writing about my teaching-related experiences in my teacher journal, newteacher38 on livejournal. Everything else will be in this journal, if I actually have time to write anymore :P
