Beer fest.

Tonight was nice. I caught up with my old friend, Jim. We drank a couple beers at McFadden's and played trivia. At first, I was winning, but then, he won and soon his name was clear up at the top of the board for all time winner this month, June 12th. It was pretty amazing, I must say. And my scores weren't that bad.
The waitress kept on coming around and asking us if we needed more... or more... or more... and while she was doing a good job by checking in periodically with us, it was a bit of a nuisance. But I still gave her a 20% tip.
I drank Oberon and Jim had Newcastle. The Newcastle was in a bottle and he wanted it on tap, but he drank it out of the bottle anyways.
I wrote in my journal when the trivia turned to Sports Trivia and worked on a short story. I desperately need time to focus on my short stories so that I can perfect them and turn them into a publisher. I want fame and money.

Tomorrow, I have an orientation at Manpower, who is placing me at an inbound call center for a one year contract with Alticor. I am excited. I will be a bi-lingual customer service rep and am hoping that the Spanish won't be overly complicated. While I do consider myself bi-lingual, every now and then, I am left out of the conversation somehow. This cannot happen and I pray that it does not. I can only try my best and hope that they will be flexible with me and let me switch to the English inbound call center area if it becomes too difficult. I am praying.

I am not going to go to school this summer, as I once planned... to take a Microsoft applications class and Excell and Power point. Instead, I will wait until Fall, I believe. I am just happy to have a job so I can pay back on some of my student loans. I recently consolidated them at 4.65%. It was hell calling around to the various consolidators to find "the best rate." and then I figured out that they were all using the SAME formula and that I just needed to find the nicest place with the best website and the best, if any, benefits available for paying on time and using an automatic debit, for example. There was so much I didn't know... about how the government regulates the amount of forbearances and deferments that you are allowed and that you can't get more by switching to another company because they are not granted by the private company, but instead are granted by the U.S. government and processed by the private company. Silly me.

I hope this job thing works. I do not want to be in debt. College was a wonderful experience and I want to pay back for it all.

I must retire now and pray that my alarm clock wakes me up tomorrow. I have two of them... which is another story...
My friend, Lenwood, who is basically a street friend of mine, gave me an alarm clock for $2. It was the first time I saw his apartment and walked great distances with him. he is quite a gentleman.

good bye.
