short notes

Nov 18, 2008 16:30

here are some short notes:

- Fencing practice is still fun. There's lots of good stuff going on there - good attendance, solid fencing, warm atmosphere, etc. That's v. encouraging.

- Meeting today with my potential mentor went very well. It seems he is happy to have someone to share his passion for early music with. Who is he? I'm not telling. I will neither confirm or deny reports. I will say this - his resume is outstanding, he has traveled the world to study and perform his craft  - Mexico, France, Belgium, USA, and he is exactly the person I want to be working with right now. That has not happened to me often in life. I'm lucky it's happening in a professional field.

- I have friends who are there for me when I need them. I'm lucky in my friends.

- The choir continues well. We have the new rector in 2 weeks. I hope he is as advertised.

- The masters is this weekend. Good stuff. Got a review from my prof. I've lots to improve. That's just fine with me. I need the kick in the pants.

- More and more I'm learning how to serve my friends. I'm very happy about this.
