I find it interesting that your Hotch recalls beating Foyet to death with satisfaction. I'd expect him to feel horror at being so out of control. Nonetheless, it's an interesting and telling observation about your Hotch - enjoying feeling something he most definitely shouldn't, and probably wouldn't have, before her death: how revenge felt.
I particularly enjoyed the last paragraph. So little of the fanfic alludes to the fact that up until sometime in Season 2 or Season 3, the Hotchners seem to have had a happy relationship that (behind the scenes) fractured - likely under the pressures of his job and increasing responsibilities, and the strain of mothering almost alone on her part.
And one more thing (before I go back to the word I SHOULD be doing - just HAD to comment on this!) - I also quite liked how you portray both of them as still loving each other. That's very true to the show - the early scenes in Seasons 1-2, Haley's last words, and the speech Hotch gave at her funeral.
