ah, the material things

bryan got his rx-8 (titanium grey, black leather interior, and he didn't hold back on the luxeries). it's nice. :] it's also really expensive, at least for us since it's going to be $500/month (for 6 years) + $150/month for insurance, on top of our monthly $1400 rent. youch, indeed. i can't complain though, i can only be concerned since it's not my money (though he assures me that he doesn't mind being the money-maker, and earlier in the year i was the roles were reversed, i do feel guilty). i'll just do my best to make sure we don't get too careless. but that's not counting the $3000 tv we're getting because i need consoling after i heard our other tv is dead, and we need a new one (because we're paying for cable but can't watch anything), and the money is coming from a bonus at the beginning of the year, and we'll be keeping this tv for a long time (the term "investment" makes this sound less vain, so that's what i'll call it!). it's a necessity if you ask me. :D

our xbox 360 went for $800 on ebay, which i think just barely covers what we paid for everything it comes with. at least we didn't lose money, but bryan and i did sit our asses out in the cold for 12 hours because of the price they were going for at the time (up to $1700). so if you want it and can make us a better offer, it's yours. if you're interested in buying and want to know what it comes with, just ask.

i finally got to see the new episode of lost. OH MY GOD!!! that's all i'll say because i'm too lazy to use an lj-cut for the spoilers. and on the last america's next top model: NO!!! ;_; my favorite person is gone. underserved, says i. bad form! i find the apprentice extremely entertaining to watch lately because donald trump isn't taking any shit now. he said "piss off" to the rules of reality tv and is firing people left and right because they just suck at life. he fired two people in one episode a long time ago, which was surprising but not unbelievable. then he fired four people in one episode, that was shocking. but i partially thought it was for ratings or shock-value until in the episode following he fired two more. now i think that he's just disappointed and won't tolerate anymore embarassment from this season's candidates, and so he's stripping them without any remorse. i mean, he cut his candidates down to HALF in three episodes. that's not being smart and business-y because now he might lose money from the sponsors that were schedueled to do future episodes with them. certain episodes have to be canceled now, and i'm sure the producers weren't keen on that idea. so this is fun now. :]

the latest episode of desperate housewives just finished downloading. i'll be watching it after i finish this entry. i'm hoping george dies a horrible, horrible death.

i'm still watching paradise kiss for some reason. i already know everything that happens and the character designer could use a good slapping, but even still i can't stop downloading/watching. i guess re-living it is fun? oh, i think an anime based on NANA has officially been confirmed. i hope it's fucking awesome, any less will be disappointing (but apparently i'll still watch it religiously, as demonstrated by the paradise kiss anime). the movie still hasn't been subtitled, but i've watched it three times.

oh, thanksgiving was good. usually i only get mashed potatoes and corn since i'm a vegetarian, but this time i got three different types of pastas. i was really full for the first thanksgiving in 4 or 5 years? i would have included my sentiments towards my family here, but this entry is only concerning the material and completely devoid of mush, so ciao. :]
