Pans Labyrinth

Of course it was the name of the movie that attracted me first, before I'd even heard of the storyline details. Anyway, our one screen local theatre finally decided to show it. I'm still thinking about it the next day, which to me is a sign of a good film. It's very dark and brutal, and yet magical and hopeful. The characters of Pans labyrinth made me smile in fond remembrance of That Other Labyrinth, and wish dearly that someone would continue the story on film again. It also got me to thinking that this is what Hensons Labyrinth might have been like had it been made with adult audiences in mind, not children.
