Bret and I packed up the moving truck this morning and drove all our stuff up to New York. Bret's been sick with some flu symptoms since Saturday, so it was hard for him to move too much. After we had the truck packed from the Bella Vista apartment and got some breakfast, he seemed a bit better.
I ended up driving the truck so he could get some sleep. Hooray for me not crashing or running into anything! I have a bad track record with trucks.
It didn't take us much time to move the stuff into the Harlem apartment. We returned the truck event-free and ate our first meal at home. However, we're probably not staying here too long. The guy we're renting from keeps changing the deal on us and we're going to start actively looking for new places.
But, the most important part is that we're here. We're in NYC!
We learned a few things today....
1) Bret is much more gay than he realized. He couldn't operate a simple handcart.
2) The dyke in me shows when I master the handcart.
