We're about halfway through the run of Blood Theatre, so tonight most of the cast and crew decide to go out to eat. Jim, Jack, Ed, Chris, and I...along with multiple members of the crew...go to this place on 3rd and South. Chris won't shut up about how the other cast members think he's unprofessional so I know it's bothering him. His brother, Ed, is calmer but he keeps bringing it up as well. I hate how they are hurting because of the other cast members.
Now, I get along with the cast AND the crew. I can see both points of view. The crew is new to professional theatre so this is all a learning experience. The cast is mostly college theatre trained, so they expect things to run smooth and professional. Now, I've worked community theatre so I KNOW how bad things can get. I am used to independent theatre. These kids are NOT.
But, I had a great time with the guys tonight. They really seem to accept me for who I am and don't care that I'm me. I would work with the Car Crash Club again in a heartbeat, experience or not. I fucking LOVE independent DIY theatre.
Bret showed up to the restaurant just as we were leaving. We met up with Maggie at Royal Tavern and stayed until closing. Now, Bret has decided that he's going to give up drinking again. So, he's completely sober where Maggie and I are SMASHED. Bret snuck out to give us some bonding time because he wanted Maggie to be our new partner in the circle of friends. I'm totally feeling Maggie right now. Even if I don't hook up with her, I can see us being friends. But, I had a feeling that she was all about me. She kept touching me and putting her head on me. I asked her if she was ok to bike home and she said she was....maybe I should have come onto her more than I did.
Eh...I've got time. I'm a horrible flirt.
