It was a sad Monday...

Even more proof that the laient, chemical leftover from the "Burning Cuyahoga" hay-day of the 1960s sill makes Lake Erie residents loopy?

Today's mind-blowing tale of partaking in criminal behavior while under the influance of stupid comes from a small town, not that far from me in Toledo. Welcome to beautiful Bellevue, Ohio

Bellevue, OH - Monday night, Erie County deputies pulled over an 18 year old Bellevue resident when they said they saw him driving extremely slow and tailgating. When pulled over, the teen was rather complient with officers, dispite the fact he, and the inside of his car reeked of weed. Upon further investigation, they found a metal pipe -which suspected them that it might be an attachment for a bong- and asked to see the kid's trunk. That's when officers found, placed neatly inside, a decorated shoebox with the words, "R.I.P. Niagara" written on it. The opened the box and found it contained a broken bong. When asked about this and his erratic driving, the kid told officers that he was driving well under the posted speed limit because he was on his way to the cemetery to bury his beloved bong.

Yes... you're reading that right. The cops stopped a funeral procession for a bong.

Stated on the deputy report; “I located a shoe box with a large broken glass water bong inside of it. The shoe box had marijuana leaves drawn on the side of it and ‘R.I.P. Niagara’ written across it. That's when Guy [the name of the suspect] advisted that Niagara was the name of the bong.” The teen was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, following too close and was releaed on the scene. Sadly, Erie County deputies seized "Niagara" and his "coffin".

I'm not sure which is craizer, the bong funeral or the comments of condoleances comming out of Erie County...
But, being this is Erie County, nobody it surprised.

dumb as hell, stupid criminal news
