CLYDEEEEEE ♥♥♥ I think that's all that really needs to be said.
Also, MS. HUDSON ♥♥♥ A transgender character who is not a killer or will be killed in a horrific way? It shouldn't be that of a novelty, but Elementary seems to be kinda revolutionary in the regard of having minority characters being awesome and not just fodder for angst and violence. She's only appeared for a few short scenes, so I'll still be reserving my judgment for later episodes, but I hope this is the beginning of awesome things we'll see from her.
I also liked Pam, the snow-plow driver. She was only a minor character, but I'd totally watch a spin-off show with her character any day.
The mystery case aspect of the episode was less than thrilling--it was executed brilliantly, but the fact that it was about thieves was kinda meh. Aren't all police procedurals either about thieves or murderers? or kidnappers? there's only so many ways you can dress them up to be exciting.
Favorite line from the whole episode: "We're not civilians. We're detectives."
