in which there's a lot of tv talk
General spoilers for season two of The Vampire Diaries and Glee
♠ I've been trying to catch up on Glee. I'm not really invested in this show in an "OMG I HAVE TO WATCH THIS RIGHT NOW" way but it's entertaining when I do remember to watch it. I mainly watch for Quinn, Kurt, Artie, and Mercedes. This season is still not making me like Rachel (actually cementing my dislike for her pretty strongly actually), she's really, really pretty but sometimes she makes me want to shake her violently. I have no opinion on Finn; he's just there for me. I like Mr. Shue too and I think the most enjoyable scenes for me with him in it are when he and Sue are interacting. I still have not decided on whether I like Sue or not. Because there are times when she does things that I cheer for (like allowing Quinn to comeback to the Cheerios and kicking Santana out because of her plastic surgery) and then there are things she does that make me wanna shake her like I wanna shake Rachel (like being a bully to Coach Beiste and her natural personality) so *shrugs* Puck and Artie are awesome too. (I used to like Tina so much but then she broke up with Artie who I love and now she's not so likeable to me. I understand she couldn't resist Mike Chang's abs [and I probably wouldn't be able to either] but still...T____T)
♠ The Vampire Diaries has reeled me in and I don't think it'll let me go any time soon. I both love/hate all the twists. The only thing I'm not particularly liking this season is Jeremy getting so involved. I'm not sure why but I liked it more when he was not in on all the secrets and didn't know vampires existed. Oh, I'm also hating that Stefan/Elena is no more. :( Really, this show isn't good to my OTPs (first it was Vicki/Jeremy, then Jeremy/Anna, then Matt/Caroline, and now Stefan/Elena).
♠ I am loving how brotherly Damon and Stefan are. Seriously. Didn't think it was going to go this way when I saw the pilot. I guess, in a weird way, we have Katherine to thank for that. Because, IIRC, Katherine just wanted to turn Stefan and was not planning on turning Damon. But then again, if it weren't for Katherine, they wouldn't be alive 145 years later to have these vampiric problems.
♠ Caroline is awesome and gods, I didn't think it was possible to love her anymore than I already did but I do! Coz she's awesome! And Bonnie's awesome now too (I just wish she didn't dislike Caroline because of vampire-ism in the first place; Bonnie, it's not her fault! It's all crazy Katherine's fault!) Really there are sooo many awesome ladies here, I wouldn't know where to start! (Although most of the awesome ladies all die a tragic death - and some of the awesome men too.)
♠ I also find it interesting that TPTB don't show us all the twists so we, the viewers, find out when the characters do too. Like they did show Mason and Katherine were together before Stefan and Damon and Elena found out. But then they didn't show Aunt Jenna being a spy for Katherine. I guess I get used to TPTB letting us in on the twists before they're revealed to the characters that I felt gobsmacked when Aunt Jenna plunged that knife into her chest.
♠ Speaking of Katherine, MASONNNNNN NOOOOOOOOOO :( I really hate Damon for killing him now. I know Mason was with Katherine and we're supposed to not like him because of that association but he really wasn't evil (well people say he was a Bad Guy but I don't believe them). He was just sucked in by Katherine, poor sod. And Damon should've sympathized with him more because he was once in Mason's place too! He was! DID I MENTION AWESOME PEOPLE HAVE TRAGIC DEATHS ON THIS SHOW AND NO ONE IS SAFE??? BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT IS. I seriously hope that someone intervenes before Tyler kills Matt because I cannot handle another person dying. YOU HEAR ME SHOW??? I like Tyler and his werewolf storyline but I love Matt more and I'd prefer the pretty blond boy to be left alone, thank you very much.
♠ Another thing I just remembered I wish they'd expand on is what Elena found in that book of Katherine's. Is the answer to why Elena looks like Katherine in there? I guess it's coming up because I read spoilers about an episode where we're going to get flashbacks to when Katherine was in 1492, I believe, and why she is the way she is (although the spoilers I read said we won't find out who turned her or how she was before she turned into a vampire for awhile). 0_o I can't wait for that episode. Because as much as I hate Katherine and want her to die, I can't help but be intrigued by her character and want to find out as much about her as there is to find out.
♠ Also read some other spoilers which are very worrisome (although not at all surprising). Oh, Thursday, come already!
This promo poster is soo beautiful but sad. Damn it, TVD!
♠ Supernatural and I have parted ways. It was amicable, no hurt feelings, but my heart isn't invested anymore (I mainly watched for Castiel but I don't think he's in a lot of episodes this season and it would've been torture watching all the episodes he wasn't in just so I could understand the episodes he did appear in). I have been reading random people's reviews, and there's a lot that I don't think I would've liked just based from other people's reactions. I'm not so keen on catching up and I think it's better this way.
