Easter Ficlet Thingy

You may all blame ribbon_purple - or the bunnies, bunnies can never ever be resisted - because she created these Easter bunny icons. One icon in particular (that I'm using right now <----) featured two bunnies that were supposed to be John and Rodney, which is also where the first five lines of the dialogue come from (and are credited to her). (I dunno what it says about me that my first thought was ‘John and Rodney would be sooo cute if they were bunnies.’ *squeeeee*) Sadly, there aren’t any bunnies here, but I loved the dialogue and it obviously sparked something after my dry-spell with this fandom.

Licking and Kissing | SGA, John/Rodney | PG | wc 524 | Rodney was quite sure John was possessed...otherwise he wouldn't be doing that.

Something was very wrong, though Rodney couldn’t quite pinpoint what. It had seemed like a normal Sunday. He and John were having their weekly beer-on-the-pier outing. He didn’t think John was being possessed, but well, John wasn’t acting like himself and being on Atlantis, you never could tell if your commanding officer was possessed or not.

“John?”

“Hmm?”

“Quit licking my ear.”

“But you taste like chocolate.”

“…I hate you.”

"You don't really mean that."

"Yes, I do."

"You should be glad. I really, really love chocolate."

"So do I, but I would never lick you just because you tasted like chocolate."

"You know, I wouldn't mind that so much."

"Wouldn't mind what?"

"If you licked me. Everywhere."

It was a good thing Rodney had been blushing already from having John’s mouth in his ear, otherwise this would’ve put him over the top. It was no mystery that John was a tactile sort of person, and ever since Rodney had escaped what Ronon had kept calling his Second Childhood, it seemed that John had been touching him more frequently. (Which was all good and everything, don’t get him wrong, but, with the frequent touching came Rodney’s fear of his unrequited love for John to come spilling out in the most inconvenient times.)

But, and this he couldn’t forget, he was no closer to figuring out what was going on: John was still acting weird, and licking him (fine, just licking his ear, but his ears were very sensitive and tended to make him…feel things in certain areas) and things were moving into the Never Think About territory really fast.

“Uh,” what were they talking about? It was difficult to concentrate on the conversation because John + John’s tongue equaled…did he really have to finish this thought? “Um, what, what are you saying, exactly?” They were outside, his lungs shouldn’t have felt like they were short of oxygen.

“I’m saying…” John said patiently while his tongue moved over to Rodney’s cheek and started licking there. What the hell was going on?! “That I wouldn’t mind at all if you were to reciprocate this licking here that I am doing.” And then John kissed him softly on the corner of his lips, just a barely felt contact of John’s lips that he would’ve missed for sure if he wasn’t so keen on trying to figure out the situation, but Rodney’s senses were alert and working overtime so he was sure it was a kiss and not a mere fluke of the licking.

It was like something had broken inside Rodney right then, and he turned his head so John’s nose and forehead and lips (and whole face) were in contact with Rodney. There was a whole lot of touching going on, and it was good. Better than good, it was great and - more importantly - John wasn’t freaking out or punching him in the face, so it had to be great.

And Rodney did the only thing he wanted to do: he kissed him.

(One could argue that kissing wasn’t technically licking, but he figured John wouldn’t mind and he was planning on doing the licking later.)
