*waves* Been a while since I've given one of these. =\

Okay - I haven't had time, to be honest, in the past couple of months to work on much of anything. I do have plans and hopefully I now have time - that's the good news. So, in case you're wondering about anything in the works - read on.

Bittersweet Love - I'm going to be honest. I have no current ( Read more... )

I've been that far away from UR that I didn't even know you'd been updating - how slack am I? :S Once exams are over, I shall have to bring myself up to speed. But generally, I don't like sequels. If it's a series I can understand keeping it going, but I don't know. I'm not overly fussed on sequels (maybe it's because I'm too stubborn to change my opinion that a second one can never live up to the first one).

Ride the Wind is coming back. :D

And me being asked the question of whether a James story should be written is like asking if the chocolate should be eaten.

The chocolate should definitely be eaten. ;)

Aw, it's okay, I'll forgive you. You've been quite busy with school (and I'm quite proud of you, too!).

Okay, strike one against a sequel. Like I was saying, it would just be...more like my version of books six and seven, if I did. But that's not how wdmc started; the themes of wdmc have nothing to do, really, with the actual series which is why I'm hesitant on the idea myself. And I agree - one can generally figure out if a sequel was written primarily because they wanted to continue, or if the story flowed in a way that it needed to be a series. And you're right, in most cases, it does seem that sequels (as a general rule in life) don't add up to the first one.

Yes. Ride the Wind is absolutely coming back. And soon, I hope. *grins*

*laughs* Okay, okay. I see your point and I agree. It's the POV that'll make writing that one difficult. Fun, perhaps, though...hmmm...

*huggles* We don't talk enough anymore, Kirsten. *loves*

Gah - I typed out a response and posted it and all (through Gmail) but it isn't here! Faulty website. (No fault of my own, of course.) And I can't remember what I said earlier, although I'm sure there were plenty of unnecessary words and tangents in it (like always). :)

But yeah - female character central to James. Hmm. Guessing it's not Lily (duh). His mother???

At this point I think I mentioned something about bizarre weather patterns in Australia at the moment and the fact that I'm so cold and why would I live here when I could be in the summertime with all of you ...

Stupid winter. :( (Although when I read Deathly Hallows, it's going to be under a blanket with heaps of hot chocolate and marshmallows while the weather is absolutely horrid. It'll be a good reading day. I can feel it in my waters.)

Ick! I hate when that happens. That happened to me not too long ago; maybe LJ's karma is catching up...and taking it out on us? How rude. Aw, I love the unnecessary words and tangents!

*cough* You're a smart cookie.

Okay, in that case, we can split our seasons up. You stay with me when it's summer here and I'll stay with you when it's summer for you? Wait - that won't work. I'll have to come back here for Christmas; I just can NOT imagine a warm Christmas. *shakes head and laughs* I'm all for white Christmas's.

But oh! That does sound like a fabulous reading environment! Lucky. It'll be hot and sticky here. Actually, I'll be reading during the night/early morning, it won't be too bad, just lots of bugs if I sit outside...perhaps I should rethink my own reading location...

The other day I saw a bumper sticker that said "Karma ate my Dogma". I don't even find it that funny, but I laughed and laughed when I read it. hehe. Ah, small things. Smaller mind. :)

Strange, I always thought I was a pretty face instead. *hackcough* :S And a comedian to boot. :D

How can you not have Christmas under a mango tree, with a barbecue firing up on the creek bank, a game of cricket between the shed and the house (hit the tractors on the full and you're out) and fruit! Cherries, nectarines, lychees, peaches, pears, grapes, plums ... so many more delish things. And to top it off, a swim under the stars with a bottle of wine. Christmas in the tropics - stinkin' hot, but brilliant. Alternatively, it could be pouring rain and storming like all crazy, so either way you'll need your togs. And of course there's nothing brilliant about a White Christmas with sleigh bells ringing and snowmen and chestnuts roasting on an open fire or anything. Nothing brilliant at all. :(How about we do Christmas in the snow this year ( ... )

*laughs* I understand, it's not that funny, but it made me laugh all the same. Reminds me of the movie Dogma.

You can be all three at the same time!Well, you have managed to hype it up for me a bit. Okay, you got me. We'll switch back and forth. It's all about the Christmas spirit anyway, right? Nevermind that having snowball fights and sitting by the warm fire while you finish wrapping your presents and inhaling the smell of the warm, fresh Christmas cookies makes your heart warm all while the snow falls and gives you a great Christmas present, a beautiful wonderland of white snow (when global warming is letting me have that, anyway) stuff ( ... )

When I got the email notification for your reply, just about every word was strikethrough. And now ... no strikethrough. O_O There's a new mystery of the universe unravelling here ( ... )

*listens for ghoul-like sounds coming from lj* Weird.

Aw! Your Christmas sounds like fun. Now I want to experience yours. And grandma's cooking sounds delicious! I'm hungry now. =p *laughs* As funny as it sounds to me to be disappointed over non-green grass for Christmas, I understand. I don't have white Christmas's as near often as I did when I was younger. Yep, we need to take turns with our Christmas's, my dear. *nods*

Oh! In that case, I'm quite familiar with mozzies. Right annoying, they are.

I see! No parties, though! That's horrid! Although, your way sounds quick and painless, and that can be nice. Get in, get the book and get out. Hmm...it's at least worth a try. If nothing else, perhaps we can sneak you over? I mean, the Department of Foreign Affairs should understand, this is a big deal! Do you know any criminals that can fake a passport? Hmm...
