Since we last talked...

Ooo, I've been gone from El Jay so long they've changed things...Current location? Interesting.

*huggles HP fandom & all things linked to it* Occasionally checking in has kept me sane lately. Whew.

So the sinus infections no longer can keep me down, I've adjusted to living without being able to breath very well. I've also become rather knowledgeable in sinus and allergy medication, not too sure if that's a good thing or not. And I can even continue on with kidney stones, as I do believe I've had some again, however this time there was no infection and I think they've passed. What I can't live with and what makes me a big baby is back pain. Only I'm severely stubborn and too independent for my own health sake, which probably only made it worse for a while.

But I apparently strained a muscle in my back pretty bad that's right next to my sciatic nerve. You want to talk about some pain? I'll take the kidney stones over this shit any day. Aside from my actual back hurting from the strained muscle, due to the nerve being compressed against, I've had pain from my lower back down through my leg. So...after a week of not getting better, I finally go to the doctor and tell people that my back hurts at work. So now I've been on muscle relaxers and pain meds and I can't lift anything over 5-10 pounds. Ha, which even eliminates me from picking up my cat.

The sad thing? I have no idea how I did it. My District manager at work asked (no doubt to make sure I wouldn't be claiming workmen's comp not because he cares or anything...) and I really don't know. Whenever I did it, I already had back pain due to that time of month and I was off work and I know I picked up something that could have done it, but I worked the next day and did plenty of things that could have done it. *shrugs* Beats me. I'm feeling better, I think, although it's hard to say being on all the meds. (and I now see why people like muscle relaxers and drinking...whoa...) I go back to the doctor next week and I'm feeling like I should be better by then. Thank goodness. It's difficult to do my job when I can't...really do my job. LoL.

And the only reason I'm finding time to update now is because I'm supposed to be at work. Only I'm not, as you can see. If you heard about all those severe storms that passed through the central US Sunday evening, I was in the middle of all that. Not really freaky, I've lived here all my life and I'm rather used to the chaotic weather around this time of the year. But, some rotating and very strong winds (not a tornado though) horribly damaged the area I work in. Thankfully, my store and my staff and store manager were spared, but just a block from us a clothing store collapsed (where there was one death), some homes and buildings were demolished, powerlines are all over the place and huge store signs have fallen. So...the police aren't letting anyone near the place, including the plaza my store is in. I tried to go to work this morning, and the damage around the area is just devastating. My parents live nearby, but they're fine, they've just been out of power for about 17 hours now. So now I'm at home waiting....and waiting...my store manager lives near the store as well (she's fine too) and said she'd keep me posted. I hate not knowing what's going on. Gah, it's frustrating. You'd think I'd be happy about not having to work so far today...but I have so much to do...

Honestly, that's the most I have to update with. Other than this I've just been busy working and going to school, attempting at having some sort of social life. (haha) I've been itching to get back to writing. I don't dare say that hopefully I'll be able to soon because that'll come back and bite me in the ass, yeah?

I hope all is well for everyone. <3 I'm counting down the weeks left of school(one more month!).
Take care.
