The Calm Before the Party Storm
green_trilobite's birthday party is today. I'm mostly on top of things, except I can't find the plastic cups I bought yesterday. Decided that some of the guests will be drinking beer from bottles anyhow, and I can wash and recirculate a small assortment of glassware.
Also my nozzles on my icing syringe all clogged (icing was thicker than I'd intended), so some of my cupcakes are better-looking than others. I hope they taste ok. I think they will (flourless chocolate cake + coffee buttercream icing, except two, which are plain vanilla buttercream icing for people who don't like coffee.)
Now is the part where the next stage involves moving everything down to our building's party room, but it's still another hour until I'm allowed in, so I wait. And I've already packed the tequila, so I can't even mix myself a preliminary drink.
Post-Party ETA -- I think it went well. Should've made more cupcakes, though - they were all gone by the time the second wave of guests arrived. Big thankyou to everyone who came.
