It's always nice to see a strong female character on television, and Catherine is definitely a strong character, and one who also has a rich backstory. Yes, she worked as a stripper when she was younger, but she got past that and became a CSI (specifically a blood splatter expert, which I completely forgot about until I re-read her bio), showing that she also has the brains as well as the looks. I was sad to see her leave the show after being there for so long, and I must say that I'm not exactly impressed with her replacement so far. But back to Catherine. Like most characters on the show, she had family issues, but does her best to deal with them, like a regular person would. She's also not afraid to speak her mind and acts as something like a leader to the rest of the team, especially in later seasons once Gil is no longer around. But most importantly, Catherine's also an awesome character, and this official video is just a few of the awesome moments she had throughout her run on the show:
