Oh, this is so good! The nightmares, all the companions calling to Clara (and there was Harry! And Fitz!) and River and Martha helping her... The interactions between all three were wonderful, and there's a real sense of warmth running through the whole fic. Gorgeous!

Thanks! Wikipedia helped to fill in the gaps of classic companions I haven't seen, and I consider Fritz (and Frobisher) to be a companion despite appearing in non-TV media. I think River and Martha would get along quite well for the most part, so I was happy to be able to write them interacting!

Oh, another one of those! I really liked how maddening the calls all felt to Clara, coming from everywhere, filling her head and pulling for her attention. I loved the way she tried to protect herself, but found that ever so difficult-and the pain in some of those memories… It was all really so traumatizing. I loved the way River appeared as a protective figure, once more-pulling Clara into safety, away from the fear. I felt so moved by how very vulnerable Clara seemed, and I loved the way River reassured and helped her. The moment they had to touch foreheads to help create the connection was quite lovely. The way you had them build a replica of Martha was fascinating… Between the two women, Clara was really well looked after. Cared for. That was sweet ♥
