I'm pretty exhausted; it was a crazy, stressful weekend all 'round, and I ended up with a migraine all day yesterday. At least we can use our water again (although Bec and Jer still have a massive hole in their ceiling from the removal of the swiss-cheesed pipe that had to be replaced). I've been all sorts of productive, though, and have even finally gotten around to getting my license again (it expired more than five years ago). It's only a temporary permit until I actually take the driving test this Friday, but hey, it's progress! And I've got the paperwork for my passport all sorted out, and am just waiting to have the cash available to get that, too. So that's two semi-long-term plans finally happening. And I have a list of everything else, which is always calming for me. Can't wait for the 27th, our new (and hopefully final) close date. As we get closer to the actual date, I keep getting more and more nervous that something's going to go catastrophically wrong in some way, and it's all going to fall apart. And I'm nervous about finances, and affording the immediate stuff we need, and all that. Oy. It'll all get caught up relatively soon, but at the moment I'm a lot more broke than I'd like. I'm patient-instructing this week, though, which'll be nice. And this coming weekend is looking relatively calm, I think.
