I don't have a specific relayable question - more like, given that my existing dishwasher is broken so I'm not losing any functionality, how insane is it to do myself?
This is a general theme for every DIY project I have ever done myself. Replace? Easy-peasy (... usually). Install from nothing? Better know (more-or-less) what you're doing.
Yeah, that. Replacing the dishwasher was easy, by which I mean it only took three times as long as expected, and only one extra trip to the hardware store.
The new ones usually have pretty comprehensive instructions. If you're at all handy you should be able to do it yourself. I recommend a Bosch. (I think that's how it's spelled) they're super quiet and efficient.
Yes, twice. And soon I'm going to do so again with the nice Bosch unit I got from my sister that's been sitting in my basement for nearly a year. If you still want the old one, I'll happily bring it over and install it once I've replaced it.
Super secret secret about me: my memory about stuff like that is very poor! I am easy to surprise with facts I already "knew"! :) But the wow thank you still stands.
