I haven't been posting a lot, recently. As usual, I have a thousand N-related posts in my head and a dozen about photography -- I think I could make the world a lot better by giving it a one-page tutorial on how and why to use the curves and levels tools in Photoshop/Gimp. But it's winter, and I'm feeling quiet, and somehow I just never quite get around to it.
So instead I will just tell you how last night, I was walking to the house from the car and I looked up to watch the frozen trees clacking branches, making a sharp hollow sound like clashing antlers or children swordfighting with sticks, and thought: why have I never noticed that noise before?
