day 2
Wins of the day:
* A fruit that aroraborealis identified as "custard apple": looks like a fish, tastes like a custard
* A sweet orange fruit that is wrapped in papery leaves (sort of like tomatillos are), which veek knows as "strawberry tomatoes" and which N will merrily eat by the pint [EDIT: appears to be also called "physalis"?]
* N suggesting that we get a bike with a kid seat to go to Science Museum NEMO because she didn't want to walk
* N singing and shoving her hands in my back pockets whenever the bike is moving
* Bikes, in general
* Phenomenal coffee all over the damn place
* N suggesting we sit and listen to a street busker playing acoustic guitar and harmonica, and then doing so for a good 10-15 minutes
I remembered my camera, my battery charger, and a SPARE camera battery. Now if only I'd remembered a CF card. This afternoon's errand: buy one, and maybe go to a zoo.
I miss posting photos from my phone! And SMS! Also, seeing Dutch written out all over the place keeps making me reach for words in Norwegian (which is less than useful). Otherwise this city is perfectly awesome in every discernable way. :)
