Going away for a weekend together, alone, for the first time since having a kid? Pretty much a guarantee that she'll start walking before you get back. Especially if you say to the grandparents, "ha ha, I bet she'll start to walk while we're gone".

This weekend, I experienced the elusive Perfect Fall Day. That night, my nose got cold. It was lovely. I'm happy and relaxed, and I got three full nights of sleep. Did you know that you can just read until you get tired, close your eyes, and then open them again in the morning when you're done sleeping? You can! It's nice.
