Dude, 100 klicks is still impressive. I couldn't do it.

Besides, better you heal up and do it later, when you are at the peack of your powers, and you can do 1000 klicks without breaking a sweat. :)

hang in there, babe. remember that the reason we do this shit is because our bodies are here to be cossetted and enjoyed. tendonitis is neither of the above. it sounds like yr first 100k *were* a great experience, but the next 200k wouldn't have been the right thing at all....

take good care & heal up quick!

I feel your pain. Not just in that metaphoric sense - I have some serious achilles tendon problems, too, have for four or five years now. I don't think the problem's ever gone away for me. I have times when it's OK, and then I do a long walk or go dancing in the wrong shoes, and it's all over. Part of the thing, for me, is to identify what the right shoes are, which makes some difference in that the problem is less likely to start up. (Docs seem to be really good for long walks and dancing.) But I can't always identify what will set it off, and the worst part is that it doesn't generally start hurting until I cool down from an activity.
So I guess what I'm saying is, if you find a solution to the problem, please let me know...

Yeah, this seems to be true for me, too. My combat boots are great -- hard inflexible soles, ankle support, a tiny bit of heel -- while my happy red shoes start hurting pretty quickly. Might be time to donate a bunch of footwear to the salvation army.

I'll let you know how it goes, certainly.
