training update

This weekend, we ran 13.1 miles, which is half of a marathon. The remnants of Hurricane Noel swooped down upon us as we ran and we were totally not dressed properly. We ended up cold, soaked, and miserable. My fingers were so frozen that I couldn't untie my shoe laces.

I didn't run this morning because I had a tummy ache, so I'm going tonight instead. I hate running in the evening because it is really trafficky, and I also hate taking two showers in one day. And I think my digestive system needs a good six to eight hours without food before I attempt strenuous activity. Steve likes running in the evening better though. We might have to divorce as running partners because the difference for him is quite pronounced. In the morning he is a big whiny baby and lags way behind. In the evening he is always way out in front of me. Another reason why I prefer to run in the morning.

The fundraising is going okay. We are about 60% of the way there. We each have about $1300 left to raise. The donations are definately slowing down, though. We need to start soliciting strangers somehow, because we only have just over a month left. If we don't raise all the money, we have to pay the difference ourselves!

So, if you are feeling generous, feel free to throw a few bucks my way. It's for a good cause.

Steve needs money too, if you are feeling REALLY generous.

I am very VERY busy at work. This may be the last you hear from me for the next decade or so. Take care, hugs, high fives, and all that.
